the recession is a challenge given to those of us caught up in it - for all those people who used to have jobs and then laid off - it is a challenge for them to find other ways of surviving, to become resourceful, to learn how to ask for help from the government, friends, family and even strangers - it is a challenge for them to learn how to stop wastefulness, to grow their own food, to learn to live with less... the recession is here to teach us lessons about the financial state of the world, that banks, creditcard companies and finance companies have a lot to answer for because they created dependency and now they have to reap the consequences of defaults, liquidations, forfeiture and debt... the recession is a wakeup call for all of us - just like the days of the Depression, this recession is a major shakeup for all of us...
