Hello mylot members. Do you use fabric conditioner or softener when you do laundry? I just do use it before but there are detergent powders today which already have conditioners added to them that I do not need to buy a separate fabric conditioner or softener when I wash my clothes. Before the advent of this "fabric softeners," people wanted their dress to be harder on the surface and straighter but now people wanted their clothes to be as softer as possible, so as to be easier when ironing. How about you do you use fabric softener when you do laundry or you just use detergent and water.

I always use a fabric softener. I bought one of those detergents that says to have softener in it too, but my clothes wouldn't get soft at all after washing them, so now I use this detergent and a softener, and my clothes feel way better

Absolutely yes. Fabric conditioner helps in keeping clothes smell good. I also spend less time in ironing my clothes. I feel comfortable wearing clothes that were laundry with fabric conditioner.

Soemtimes I do and most times I don't use fabric conditoner after washing my clothes. If I wash clothes using water straight from the faucet I don't use fabric conditioner. Once in a blue moon I use some. But If I wash clothes and linen using water from the hand pump I always use fabric conditioner. The water from our hand pump tends to be rusty in smell so to get rid of the smell I use fabric conditioner. It smells nice after.
There are detergents and powder that have so called built-in fabric conditioner but everytime I wash using the pump the smell of the conditioners will not much to the smell of the rust LOL

I think you live in a province where hand pump is still available. In our area there are no longer hand pumps available, all water supply coming from the faucet, from the water district. Why don't you just use the faucet instead of hand pump to avoid rust affecting your clothes

I use those little rubber balls that are supposed to take the place of fabric softener. I am allergic to much of the perfume the fabric softeners have in them and not only that, cannot even use the dryer sheets. I used to use vinegar but that also costs a bit when you consider I use vinegar to thin down salad dressing, clean glass, unplug the sink, etc.

No I do not use a fabric conditioner in my washing machine. I use a fabric dryer conditioner in my dryer to make the clothes smell fresher and to keep most of the static electricity out of my clothes.

I will use a kind of softener which is made for baby clothing when i wash my daughter's cloth. I want to make a very soft and comfort cloth for my daughter. For other family's clothing, i will use the general softener because i like the smell.
Have a nice day1
