I've really cut back on this one but I used to be super addicted to pens and paper and blank journals. I don't know why but I just love pens and writing. I had to stop when I had over 300 pens. I still have a cupboard that has about 5 blank journals, I made myself use most of the others and give some away. So hard. lol Another addiction of mine is chap stick/lip balms/cream. Lip care stuff like that. I am constantly putting it on. I always have some on and with me. I have a LOT of it. So do you have any addictions that aren't normally what people would think when they hear the word "addiction". And try for something other than like coffee and chocolate.

Yes, I have several strange addictions in my life. When I was a child, I used to collect the wrappers of chocolates and just keep them in a big envelope. During high school, I collected paper bags from the stores or boutiques where I bought an item. Now that I'm older, I collect more sensible items other than chocolate wrappers and paper bags. :-)

I used to collect chocolate wrappers too, especially those shiny luxury-like looking ones in gold, silver colours and so. But i was keeping them between book pages. It was fun to discover my lost treasures after years, when i happen to take a look at an old book ;)

I too am one for chapstick. I don't have many of them. I just have a select few that I go through and once I start getting low I go to the store to buy another one. I don't have too many on hand because I end up losing quite a bit of them. I too am one for journals. I'm not sure why but I do like them. I don't usually use them for anything so it's not like they're useful I just think they're pretty and once I realize that they were useless it was a lot easier for me to stop buying them. I generally like office supplies. I'm not sure why but I love getting new stuff like that. I like getting new paper and notebooks but they're quickly getting pretty useless since I'm not in school and I don't really use them much for my job. I've stopped buying those as well. Other than those above I don't think I have very many addictions anymore. I think I've tried to avoid getting too attached to anything else because I think I have too much clutter as it is!

I dont know if this qualifies but I am addicted to doritos which is a nacho product .There was a time when I would eat as many as six per day .Normally when I was buying my grocery ,I would buy six or nine bags and end up eating almost all of them .The result is I got me a little tummy because of all the snacks I was eating

I have to say I have the habit ,when I find a pen,I have to test it out to see how good it writes. If it writes really good I think of things to start writing. So I guess I can say I love to write.I do collect pens too.

My addiction is towards buying books. I buy way too many books than I can read at that time, but finished them through time. But most of the books I could care less about so it was kind of useless to buy and read one time.

Hi Bamboo I hadn't really thought of this as an addiction until read your discussion. Some people still might look at as an addiction but it very well could be. Mine is SHOES..I can't seem to get enough shoes. I always look at the shoes in stores, online stores, and any catalog that has them. When my hubby got laid at the beginning of this year and I knew that I couldnt buy any shoes I was lost. I have since then have purchased a pair of boots. One pair of 5 that I have seen that I want...LOL Have nice day and keep smiling.

5 subject spiral notebooks. I use them to write bad poetry and fiction in, and I'm always buying more before I finish the ones I'm writing in. Ditto that with composition notebooks, journals and sketchbooks. I'm also addicted to cross stitch kits. I keep buying them and never finish them.

I do have a strange addiction. I am addicted to the smell of cleaning supplies. I actually carry a small bottle of ammonia solution with me. I will sit there and huff it all day. I spot clean my house every week so it wreaks of Pine-Sol. I clean my glasses constantly so i can smell the Windex. That is my strange addiction.
