Do you like flat pitches?

These days especially in India we are seeing flat pitches for cricket matches. On this pitches bowlers don't get any help from the pitch and batsmen play freely and make high scores.
If pitch is having lush green grass it assists bowlers and batsmen need to play accurately otherwise they lose their wicket. And it is not easy to score at will.
It is understood that audience want to watch runs being scored but for that making bowlers to suffer is not so good! If this trend continues then a day might come when no one will be so interested in becoming a bowler, they might be batsmen who can bowl! Then all 11 players can be batsmen and they just bowl and then 10 to 15 runs per over is quite normal!
What do you think about this trend? Which one you would like to see? Equal chances for bat and bowl or advantage to batsmen?

I agree. There should be something for everybody to make the match really exciting.Pitches just helping the bat makes the outcome very much dependent on the toss.Bowlers keep getting frustrated and disheartened and cannot give top notch performances. It also lowers the morale of the bowlers and they tend to make more mistakes. The preparation of Indian pitches should be better monitored by the BCCI.

actually there is another problem too.u see,our players are getting too used to batting in these flat pitches, they will struggle a lot if they travel away from the sub continent. since the world cup will be hosted in the sub continents, may the board is trying to boost the confidence of batsmen by providing such batting paradises.why care about bowlers

Yes, it is the case since long. That is why India's record at venues away from home is not so good.
The problem is how this kind of pitches encourage budding bowlers? And especially India is struggling in Spin department. Only Harbhajan and Pragyan Ojha are doing a bit ok right now.

Cricket should be more entertaining and for this flat pitches won't do. People enjoy the match when there is tough fight between bat and ball. Both batsmen and bowlers should get enough chance to show their skill and that is real entertaining.

well i agree with you on everything.i just now read an article where Dhoni defended the curators that they try to provide sporting wickets but it turns out flat.
seriously,if they dont even know how to provide a sporting wicket, then you can sack them for good..
next they should invent a device which scans the players bats to see if it is made according to the rules because a mylotter recently posted a discussion about players violating rules by using bats made of 2 to 3 different woods.
if you ask me if i like a 350+ matches or under 200 runs matches,i will go with the around 250 runs matches.they are the real fun to watch.makes the players doubt the nature of the pitch.whether to attack or defend.
ok i am out of steam so if i think of anything else,i will add it later

Ya, on flat pitches bowlers struggle a lot. And if and only if a batsman makes a mistake only then they have a chance of getting a wicket. Or else they need to bowl very very well and claim wickets. It was evident when Dilshan and Sangakkara were batting! Lankans didn't keep the cool so they lost otherwise they would have got a wonderful victory!
