Normally speaking education should give good culture. But in reality it is not so. Many educated persons are narrow minded, stingy and do not know how to respect others. I feel finally it is family background that gives basic culture to a person and education is secondary.

Culture is something that is imbibed right from the time you are kids. For example you teach your child to say thank you when they receive something right from the time they are kids. So i do not think education has got to do something with culture. You become more cultured when you are educated as you learn a lot from education. I have seen people who are cultured who have never had even schooling. I have also come across very very educated people who have no culture. It is basically the behaviour, attitude and the kind approach that shows the culture of the people.
Happy mylotting and welcome to mylot.
