Any recommendations on how to get very motivated to exercise after work?
I find it hard to myself to set aside some time for exercise as I will be lazy and tired after work everyday. And weekend spending all time with my daughter which left me no time at all to get fit.
How about you?
Thanks for your sharing.

I'll tell you what has motivated me to exercise more. I've been double jointed all of my life and I can feel myself getting a lot stiffer in my joints as I get older. I'm 51 and it has nothing to do with getting older because, for one thing, I don't have arthritis. Anyway, I'm trying to make a specific effort to do stretching exercises at least 3 times a week. I would like to be the rubber band that I used to be when I was younger. I don't want to get old prematurely.

Its hard to keep it going everyday but try to prepare yourself with positive thinking and you will be on your way to exercising. Myself would just try to jogging for about 30 minutes after work or before going to work at early morning for two or three times a week. Just make it simple and fun, you will enjoy during the exercise.

If I was in your cirumstance, mawong79. I would just try walking for about 30 minutes to an hour at the park, in your local neighborhood or on a treadmill at home. You could also go to a fitness center too. I have seen many people that work walk on their lunch break or when they get off from work. They still have their uniforms on too. Try prepping yourself with positive thinking and you will be on your way to exercising.

Hi mawong79 well i know what exactly you want to say as i also used to find it hard when i used to work for 16 hrs a day and after that spending time with my family and no time to spend time to do exercise bu then i made some changes in my routine life , i after work i used to do 5 min mediation and 5 minutes stretching of my body , first it was very difficult as i was tired of work then days passed and i became habitual of this and now i am completely fit. so i will suggest you to stretch out your body for half an hour atleast yeah but for starting 5 min are more than enough.Have a nice day

It's not hard to do exercise for one or two days, it's hard to keep it going everday. I'm also lazy and can't keep doing exercise everyday. I'll do some exercise when I want and have the condition and mood to do lol. Find a good partner is also very helpful. I like to go out door on weekends, enjoy the sunshine, fresh air and good mood.

Hi mawong79. Well, you are really correct. It really makes us tired to do some exercises after work. When I was still in the previous company I worked with, I used to have some exercises in between working hours. I was very motivated before because my friends and colleagues used to accompany me during my exercise session. If you also have friends to join you with that activity, then maybe you will be able to have some interests in exercising regularly. Or, it would also be better if you exercise before going to work. That time, you are still energetic so you won't think of exercising as a tiring activity.

Make it simple and fun. Exercise doesn't have to be a chore. You can use spending time with your daughtor to exercise. Take her to the park or something. Try to get her to play catch with you or something like that. After work move around don't just take off your shoes and plop on the couch. If you do, then wiggle your toes or streach in some way. Flexing your lower leg is an exercise that is done sitting. Simply sit on the couch or a chair, make sure your feet can touch the floor, and extend your leg at the knee as far as it will go. Hold it for about ten seconds and slowly retract your leg. Start slow, do this about ten times twice a day.
Those are types my physical theripist gave me. Its not much, but it keeps your muscles lose and blood flow going to your legs. You can do this "tired" and still get exercise.
