Hi, easymoney75503. I am not too sure what I will be cooking for Christmas. I may have chicken, sweet potatoes, mixed greens, macaroni. I was planning on making Fruit Fusions black cherry jello as a snack. I also wanted to buy a Fruit cake on this day too.

This is my first Christmas away from mother country and the first one in USA. My kids are feeling a bit blue and they need something which taste like Sri Lankan. So I am thinking of having a Lamb curry cooked in Sri Lankan style with rice and veggies. I will also make some cake, some Sri Lankan sweetmeats for them. Take care and happy christmas to you and your family.

I am not making Christmas dinner. My two sons and their wives are making it and bringing it over as my husband is an invalid and needs much of my care. I would suppose it is the usual turkey, ham, potatoes, brocolli casserole, and salad plus pumpkin pie and ice cream. I might make some short bread cookies or some mincemeat tarts.

I am not sure what we are going to have for Christmas dinner yet. I have got to go to the grocery store tomorrow and buy some things for the holidays. I know we are having burritos and garnish Wednesday with my mom and step-dad.

Here in Argentina, my family is doing the traditional roast pig (lechon). Will grill it out over an open fire. We'll also have some asado (different cuts of beef) that is grilled as well and chicken. We always have a nice tossed green salad, lots of fresh baked bread, a potato salad and this thing that called a pionono. I don't really know how to describe the outer part. Kinda like a flat cake...flat enough to roll. It's filled with boiled eggs, deli-style ham, hearts of palm and whatever else you want to put in it. Since I moved here from the US a few years ago, I have also introduced American-style coleslaw which is a huge hit here. We don't make it through any get-together without me having to make the coleslaw! lol. Can't wait for next week and all that wonderful food! The traditional drink is sidra, which is more or less a spiked apple cider. We eat lots of nuts and candies and at midnight there are fireworks all throughout the neighborhood. It's a wonderful time!

I am not cooking my partner is, she wont tell me much as she wants it to be a surprise. None of us like turkey so I know we are having beef, roast potatoes, rosted veggies and so on. I am hoping to have lots of nibbles and gravy, not sure if she will make it though as she desnt like it so that may be my job.
