Hello myloters, I watch Historical Channel daily. There are so many things to know, learn and to practice. We can get information before our birth that to reach is impossible for us. But the Historical Channel made easy to let us know about all the things that we couldn't know ever.Reading books of the historical things we can only imagine about that, but by watching Historical Channel we can make us sure about that thing in real.

yes i also think it's better to watch history channel than read books lol. i also am from the arts/architecture/construction field so history plays a huge role in my life.also, there's a wonderful Filipino proverb "Ang hindi marunong lumingon sa pinanggalingan ay hindi makakarating sa paroroonan." (He who does not look back where he came from will never get to his destination.)

yes Calai you are right. it is always better to watch historical channels than reading books. it teaches us lots of things that are unknown to us. So we all must watch historical channel daily for a scheduled time. And finally I appreciate your answer. Then are you getting ready to the daily historical channel viewer? Be positive. Have a nice evening.

I agree most of my geographic knowledge has been from watching documentary's. Did you see Simka Yakopovch " Naked Archeologist"? I really enjoyed his special "Decoding Exodus" and all the detail he went into about why he believer's curtain things about how the Jews were delivered from Egypt. I noticed they also have a lot of other bible shows, even though some of it is off kilter from the bible, at least they try to look at it, and sometimes get it right. A show about Bible Battle's for example, showed a map of ancient Israel that included the EAST bank of the Jordon river where the tribe of Gad and Rubin and half the tribe of Manasseh lived (Numbers 32)

I love watching various programs on The History Channel. It's actually one of the only channels I watch on TV at all. There are so many cool and interesting shows on there. You basically learn something from every show on there. And there's a wide range to choose from. Monster Quest is one of my favorite shows on there. And yes, it is way better than reading books. Reading books about historical things isn't as interesting as seeing a re-inactment of it on TV.
