I must admit, I'am guilty for being a wrong grammar finder. But only when I read profiles in a dating site. I dont dislike people who are trying hard to write english but I admire people who write simply and language that can be easily understood. What we write in our profiles usually reflects of who or what we are. Though its not always true that first impression last since everyone deserves a second chance. What I'am trying to say if before we impress others we must be true to ourselves not only when it comes to joining dating sites but also in real life.

If it is only 1 or 2 small things then I can overlook it but spelling and grammar do count and I will just go to the next profile.

Same here. I dont know why I'm easily turned-off with men with less intelligence but I should quote, just mostly in dating sites where I can read their profiles.

Maria, you should understand that internet users are from different countries with different languages. Not all are good English speakers. So if ever you read posts and find it grammatically flawed, its actually irrelevant to assume that the writer's purpose is to impress others. I bet all of us write what we have in mind, and whether it is nicely written or not, the important thing is to deliver the message.
No hard feelings, but your post actually contains inaccuracies.
Merry Christmas!

If you read my post carefully I am not referring to any post here. I am referring to some profiles in a dating site. And if you are in a dating site the purpose of writing your profile is to impress your readers. Am I right? Furthermore, if you are in a dating site you must write well to attract attention. I understand that most of us use english not as our primary language but my only point is, one must learn to write simply to be easily understood.
I had one typo error in my previous post but I dont get what you mean by accuracy. Anyways Merry Christmas too.
