So. What are your opinions on swine flu? Is it something the media is blowing out of proportion or is it really something we should be worried about? They have recently been offering vaccinations in our area, which as an asthmatic i should get a vaccine.. But i havent bothered yet obviously.. So views?

I wouldn't get my kids the swine flu shot. It is too new. They don't know what kind of side effects and damages it could cause. It might be years before they find out that it causes damage and all those people who were scared and got it will regret it. Around here people's doctors have told them that the media has really blown things out of proportion. And on the news they interviewed doctors who said they wouldn't get it for their own children. So if doctors don't think it is safe, I certainly don't have faith in giving it to my children. There have been a few cases in our area and even in our schools and all those kids got through it just fine.

I think its over-rated, I have had it and my partner had it when she was 6 months pregnant and we are both fine and we have a healthy 4 month old baby now.
It is not as bad as they go on about unless you have other illnesses.
