Films that disturb you?

What movie have you watched that just creeped you the f*ck out, and what parts stuck with you the most? Not very many new films these days scare me. 'Horror' is now confused with gore and slasher films marketed to teenagers. Which, I don't particularly find frightening at all. Some do. I don't. Most of the films nowadays are full of psycho's cranked full of PCP - Really, who the f*ck runs around with a chainsaw for three hour's? + When I was younger, the original 'When a Stranger Calls' really messed with my head, I couldn't babysit for months after that! I did *not* want to, 'check the children'. + Bully, just downright disturbed me. When the movie was over I was left with a really sick feeling deep down in the pit of my stomach. + Begotten, I'm still getting over this one. I watched it a couple of months ago. No dialogue, black and white. It was probably one of the creepiest things I'll ever see in my life. It took me around nine hours to finish the movie, it disgusted and upset me so bad I had to watch it in pieces. When I was finally done, I felt like I needed to go to church. + Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Come on, who could forget that scene in 'WW' when Gene Wilder is going through that tunnel he starts singsong'ing with 'There's no earthly way of knowing...' That entire tunnel scene...I remember watching that as a kid and being frozen in place. The movie just took a steep dive into 'wtf land'. Anyway, those are some of mine. I have many more, but I'll let ya'll add to the discussion.

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT ever watch "120 days of Salo". I heard about how intense that film was and I even read some of Marquis De Sade book before I found out about the film and I couldn't get pass 10 pages before I was sick to my stomach. Unfortunately, I didn't know the film was word for word that Marquis De Sade book. I'm feel unwell just typing about it now.... Other than that film I can't say anything else tramatized me as much. I think it was called, "the Girl next door" and that film was gruesome. Those two girls shouldn't have been abused and it was even by their own family. Tragic. I probably have some other films but I can't remember them right now.

I have yet to see something truly creepy... There's an animated series called Elfen Lied that I thought it was a little disturbing. Not creepy or scary, mostly sad but a little disturbing.

Horror movies The Ring, The Grudge have really disturbed me...They are the best horror movie I have screamed and frightened when i saw those movies, but movies which come now days are senseless, they are just making fun in the name of horror .. The 'unborn' it was a comedy horror movie for me..After seeing this movie i lost the fear of watching horror films, Mirrors totally nullified movie, no single horror... Vampire movies are pretty different from horror movies.. Horror in the sense, it should drive out our heart throughout fear throughout the movie, but now days the vampire movies are coming out as horror making me to laugh. I don't know hwy good directors are not making good films that should be disturbing people atleast for one week.. The ultimate movie TITANIC, this film surely disturbed everybody in their thought..

Requiem for a dream. Even tho it's not really a horror movie I had to ask a friend to turn the light on after I watched it. I'm not even sure why. It's just a bit disturbing and you feel like you just watched a really frightening horror movie. Great film tho! ;)

i thought the japanese movie Audition was very disturbing. Especially the first half seems almost like a romantic comedy and the second half is well. disturbing. The movies takes the viewer through the act of torture with a lot of attention to detail and the idea that such an act could give pleasure.. very disturbing. Another one that disturbed and stayed with me was irreversible. i think the maker wanted viewers to understand what rape means emotionally and psychologically and i think succeeds.

Seriously! Willy Wonka was a kids' movie! As much as I love and applaud the darkness and creepiness of all that is Tim Burton, I think Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory was 100 times spookier than Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I thought Charlie... was just over the top, almost silly. But Willy Wonka/Gene Wilder was spooky spooky spooky. Especially the tunnel but not just the tunnel. His whole attitude towards the bad things that happened to the kids, and the Oompa Loompas! Seven kind of messed with my head. Not really the movie but the realization that people like John Doe really do exist in the world. People whose devotion to their religion is so ....well obsessive is really the only appropriate word, that they would, without remorse, kill people who they believe are abominations and truly believe that their God will not only forgive but reward them for it. That's really scary.

Hello MissMarlaSinger this is checkmail and me too often get disturb by some movies, mostly they are emotional and some action, or war movies.Normally emotional movies do make me cry so try to skip it, and even the action movies in which there is brutuall killings, and also the heros playing as villans, etc.Even the war movies that shows various nohuman treatments to the prisoners, normal peoples, are just too much in that movies.Really a annoyed by it and think of breaking mine television set, thought never did.Anyways enjoy your undisturbing movies and Happy mylotting.

The movie The Ring was pretty disturbing to me. I don't offen get frightened by movies but this one was so weird that I have to admit gave me the creeps..I liked it though and watched it twice. If you haven't seen it, do rent it. It was adapted from the original Japanese movie and I think it was done really well.
