Perhaps what you are trying to say is that most religions deliver 'God' in small pieces that most ordinary humans can feel as if they understand. The concept of 'sugar' is something that nobody would understand unless they had tasted it. Religions, perhaps, often present us with a white cube and say "This is sugar". We look at it, turn it around and (maybe) bow down and worship it but most people still have no idea what it tastes like (or even that it is good to eat!) Religions also present us with a book called "All About Sugar" (it is called by many names, including 'Bible', 'Koran' and so on). Most of them are very good books which tell us all about how we should use sugar and how other people have used it but they still can't tell us what it tastes like. Many people, too, think that sugar only comes in one form (perhaps in white cubes, maybe only in bags marked 'Sugar'). Those people would say that honey is not sugar or that sugar can only be made from sugar cane and can only come from packets marked 'Pure Cane'. Yes, I have tasted the sweetness and I have learned to be amused and careful of the children who have yet to taste it.
