A reason why mobile phone is a boon to students!

Hey my lotters! I have to ask you this as my sister have a debate on the question and i have to help her, hope that you'll help me as i got an empty hand here. I want to ask you to write atleast one good reason on why mobile phones are a boon to students.

Is she pro or con? If she's pro, then cell phones can give kids and parents peace of mind knowing and being able to keep tabs on one another. With GPS and "my location" this task is simple with any GPS-enabled phone.
If she's Con- Then the student would abuse the priblivage and never learn the value of a dollor. They could easily take advantage of the parent in this instance.
So there one pro, and one con, hope that helps.
