For me I have two girls already so I know I am blessed. However my boyfriend and I have been trying to get pregnant for awhile now but to our trying it has not happened yet. So my question is how many children would you like in your life? I know we really cannot choose however I look forward to hearing what some mylotters have to say about this.
Me I wanted to always have 4 children. I have two so far so I would need to have two more but like I said not sure if that is gonna happen. Either way I am blessed with my two girls:)

I have got 3 kids am a single dad to them all, 2 girls and a lad,
I think 3 children should be the maximum anybody has.
From a few points of view
A) Financial to look after 3 kids take a lot of time and money.
B) Practical point of view and also spreading your love around more than 3 kids I guess will be hard.
Also the worlds population is increasing so I think anymore than 3 kids is adding extra population.
Though I understand accidents happen 2 of mine were concieved while we were both using precautions but its amazing how life finds a way.

My husband and I talk a lot about kids. It was a subject that came up even when we were just dating, as we both wanted kids and it was good to know that we were on the same page and such. We would like to have a slightly bigger family than what we're used to (as we both come from a family of two kids). We would like to have four to six kids. For some reason, the more talked about it, the more we realized that we wanted more than just two kids, that we wanted a fairly big family.

I came from three kids and I feel that is really not that big. My mother came from 7 sisters which to me is so many. Now I have some neighbours that live near me and one lady whom is my age just had her number 6 baby which to me is almost amazing! I could never think about having that many kids although I always wanted a big family. Now my boyfriend he came from a family of 5 boys and no girls so he always says to me we will never have boys just girls which I think is kinda of funny but at this point is true. Take care and thanks for taking the time to respond to me.

Before I had my children I wished to have a girl and then a boy. If I had only been able to have one child I would have chosen to have a girl. I am ever so lucky because I have three children. I have a six month old daughter, a two year old son and a fourteen year old son. I am not planning to have anymore children. My toddler son is disabled and he will need a wheelchair when he is older. Good luck to you regarding you having two more children to add to your two lovely daughters.

Hi momtrying2makeit
Well, it depends on how hurt giving birth is. If it is not too hurt, then maybe 2 (boy and girl) is enough. But if it's hurt, then one is enough. I haven't thought about something like this, but I know in the future the time will come.
Hope in this new year you can have 1 more children
Anyway, why do you like children? I think children make us busy, take our leisure or "alone" time.. That's what my mom always say..

it is really an interesting topic, but in china we needn't to talk about it more, as there are too many people in our country, we are just allow to have one baby, and if you want more, you should follow some specill requiement, for example, you should from a One-child Family, and you the second child should be two years leater than the first one...

I am glad to know that you have acknowledged that you are blessed with two already. Like you I wanted to have four children but my husband and I discussed this from we were dating and decided that we would only have two children. The main reason for him to say that at the time is that he was from a poor family and he had it extremely difficult as one of six children. He aims never to repeat this so this was his stance.
Me on the other hand always wanted a large family but as I had my last boy I vowed not to go through this birthing experience again because the midwife did not want to delieve me because she was not being paid for this. I had paid the doctor and I suffered but God in his mercy saw me through and as the doctor came she only said breath down and my baby was born.
You may say why bring this up but this aims to show that even an experience can cause us to stand to our word. I still like large family and if that is the consensus of both of you, great.
It would also be nice if both of you commit yourself to each other through marriage so put this on your agenda too!

I've been blessed with two kids. A girl and a boy so for me it's enough and nothing to ask for. But my husband still want more because he want to make our home merrier. He said he was happy with two but much more happier in five or more and I think more than five is too much and not a good idea.

Wow It's interesting. But according to me Be blessed what He have given you. It is the best for both of you. In India it is declared legally that every parents can take not more that tow children whether they are both Boys or Girls. Only two is enough. It is mainly declared for the fast growing population in India. But still it is not under control because most the the villagers are uneducated.

I am not into all that how many kids you are allowed to have since I live in the US. I know so many families that have like 5 or 6 kids and they keep having them. I do feel very blessed with the girls that I have and if this is all I have than I am blessed no matter what:)

I want two or three children. I think having one child only the child would be very lonely. My youngest sister in someways is an "only" child because she is much younger than the rest of us so often if those of us who are adults dont want to play shes left alone to her own devices...where as my other two sisters and i always had each other to play with.

Well, I may be pregnant right now, and my boyfriend and I are hoping that the baby is a boy. We would LOVE to have at least two, but no more than five, kids sometime in the future. I absolutely LOVE children, so I would really be happy with ANY amount, and my boyfriend ADORES kids, and most of the time, that feeling is mutual. Lol.

I want like 6 or 7, maybe more (: I love kids, and I am so excited to be a mom. I can't wait until most of them are grown, and they come back for the holidays with their own children. I know that is definitely in the far, far future, but its something to think about and look forward to. In a big family, there is for sure never a dull moment!
