I once had a cat that loved to eat black eyed peas. I also had a rabbit that liked to eat marshmallows and drink rootbeer. I have one cat that won't touch canned cat food, not even tuna.
The other day a freind came in and was telling me about one of her dogs and how it loves bird seed. Her husband has to hold the birdseed over his head so she can't get it. I'd not heard of that.
What does your pet like that you never expected a pet to eat?

I have always had a cat or a dog. My last little kitty was nambed kitty sweet baby mush face. She only liked seafood flavored items when it came to cat food, and she only liked pate form cat food not chunks or shreds. She liked nature valley granola bar when I crushed it up and made it a little mushy with some water. I couldn't beleive that. The first time I noticed it was when she scooted one of the bars out of an open wrapper onto the counter, licked it until it was soggy then she chewed one of the corners off.
Most cats like dairy products, eggs, milk, cheese, but not kitty. She only liked scrambled egg whites. She didn't like any cheese and she didn't like regular milk. I gave her some organic milk once and she acted like she was in heaven, rolling around on the floor mewing.
I think kitty was a hippie in her last life. She was also very picky about toys. She only liked string or stringy things.

Ha! cats are so friggin cute! I tend to spoil my pets really really bad. I found a little kitty in a rain gutter after a party when I was just getting out on my own. I named him Charlie Rock'n'roll Mcwinklebean. He used to do baby kitty pull ups on the windowsills of the house I was living in. He was like the mayor of the neighborhood. I gave him to one of my best friends when I couldn't keep him any more because they loved each other. A few years ago Charlie got hit by a car, my friend had him cremated and keeps his ashes in the china quiro next to her mom and grandma. Its actually kind of eerie but sweet.
I had a kitty named Brandy who loooooved Doritos. I remember one day she found a half eaten single serving bag of doritos with the opening just big enough for her little head, but not big enough to get her head out. I watched her eat all the chips then flail around in a panic when she realized she was trapped. That was funny.

Well, first off, my cat does NOT like milk...but here is a list of the things the little weirdo does like:
French Fries
Spaghetti
Scrambled Eggs
She doesn't get a lot of those foods because too much wouldn't be good for her, but she does enjoy it a lot when she gets it! :D

Some of mine will eat scrambled eggs. Spaghetti they would have to fight me for.
I'm amazed at the differences in the likes and dislikes of food with our pets. Thanks for sharing. And pass the spaghetti please.

my dog loves tomatoes but because of the acidity in them i have to constantly remind people not to let her beg them for it. funny thing about cats to is that my daughter has 2 cats that will not touch people food of any kind!! they just eat cat food only

Raw potatoes, wow. And olives? Seems animals don't just have individual personalities, but individual tastes as well. That is interesting.
Thanks for sharing sweetie.
Hugs,
Carolyn

Yes my dog Molly also likes raw potaos. She like celery but not the leaves. We had another german shorthair like molly. His name was Ozzy and he liked grapes but only if you peeled them. If I gave him a grape with the peel on he would hold it in his mouth til he got the chance to give it back to me. Then I would have to peel the grape and then he would eat it in two second and want another one. If you have never peeled a grape before then you know how tedious it is, far to much effort to peel the grape when all the dog dis was swallow it whole anyway.

I have to wonder about that. Carly tries to lick the ice cream from the bowel. I know that one cat liked yogurt. I guess they can have a sweet tooth.
