Long time ago, just because i were afraid just because somebody have much money as i have, or is a ministre, or somebody very important, my father teach me something; "dear, when you afraid, or don t have couragge, just imagine how persons who are in front of you, go to toilet, and stay there, as kings stay to...and you will be so relaxed, and you can talk with everybody, as they are your egual; all humans are same, in simple situations; all must to eat, all need go to toilet, all are just humans who will die in one day; no body is immortal

That's good advice from your father. Rich or poor, we all sh*t through the same hole, don't we? And no matter how much money you have, you can't take it with you into the next world. If I meet someone who's acting superior with me, I imagine them with a big bogey hanging from their nose, and then I can't help but smile. This unnerves them, as they can't imagine why I'm not acting all deferential.

I do some of my best thinking while sitting on the toilet. LOL I see what you are saying, though, and I am inclined to agree with you. It doesn't matter how rich or poor a person is, or what his position in our world may be, we all take a dump in basically the same manner LOL

Wise words there Ice!
No matter whether we are rich or poor, beautiful or ugly oe whether we have the loudest voice or just a whisper it will happen to us all one day.

Hi, Ice!
It's silly, but it works for many. Public speaking is the thing most people in the world fear more than anything. I've never had a problem, although I've spoken before audiences in the many-thousands. I have trouble with one-on-one speaking, but I'm learning to get past that. In part, I do exactly as yo say - I imagine them dong something entirely mundane, and they're less intimidating than individuals ever were before. Sometimes it's the toilet, and sometimes it's something like hiccupping...

I've felt like that too. Personally, I get starstruck pretty easily and so when I see someone famous or I'm close to them in some way, I get excited. I usually never think of them the way that your father taught you, but it is so true though. They are just like regular people; it's just their popularity that's different from the rest of us. They do all the things we do because we're all human. They aren't some other species of human. I never really thought about that before this discussion. From now on, I will do my best to remember that =D

I've never heard that saying before, but it's a good one. There are some things in life that are the same for everyone, regardless of their race, gender, financial status, marital status, sexuality, job, or anything else, and sitting on the toilet doing one's personal business is a fine example.

Your father was so right. That is just like when you are afraid to speak in front of a crowd of people they say to imagine the audience as being naked. Certain people may have special titles and wealth but when they go they go just like a bum on the street. It doesn't matter as we come into the world we leave the world the same way. No one is better then anyone else in reality. Though there are plenty of people who will say different because of their big "egos".
