Does inactivity cause reduction in earning?

i had not been active for last couple of days and also won't be that active in the coming seven to ten days too... though i had logged in few times to see the discussions, but didn't take part... today, i found that my earning has reduced... it's unlikely that any of my discussions might get removed... because, i haven't posted much discussions... i haven't marked much activity on my discussions in the recent time... any of the discussions that i responded to might also get removed... but, the reduction in my earning suggest quite a number of discussions that was responded by me had to get removed just yesterday for such reduction... so, i'm just wondering, if my inactivity had anything to play with this? Does inactivity cause loss of earning?

Hi raisur, There are two reason for the deduction of the earnings here. 1. Inactivity for 90 days It is stated on the FAQs that inactivity for 90 days consecutively will result in earnings forfeited. You need to login at least once before 90 days to make sure your earnings does not fortified. Just login and no need to participate in the discussion. http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq6.aspx#21 2. Deleted post Your earning(s) will be deducted if your post(s) being deleted for whatever reason. Your post maight be deleted if your discussion or someone discussion that you respond to being deleted because of violated the guidelines. Please make sure that you did not respond to violated discussion so your effort does not wasted. Good luck.

I hope it doesn't, or else all my earnings would disappear hahaha. I stay inactive I think sometime for a week because of my thesis. I can't go my lotting all the time like some people do. And sometimes I am too lazy to type stuff hehe.

Inactivity does not reduce your earnings. I have been is such situation before. I was even able to sign in due to busy schedule at work. It was quite long. When I signed in again, my earnings were the same. Perhaps there were discussions that you responded to that were deleted. This will most likely affect your earnings.

To the best of my knowledge inactivity would not cause a loss of points. The only think I know of that will cause a reduce in points is discussion removal. Either your own discussions or discussions of someone else or your responses to someone's discussions. Pretty much anything having to do with mylot earning, or amounts of money earned on here or anything like that will get deleted. Sometimes things get deleted if they are of mature content or have a mature word in them too if they are not in the proper category.

thanks ladym33 for your response... last portion in your response presents another probable cause... i agree, that might also be possible...but, i don't think, that was the case about mine... however, i draw your attention to the comment of akiong to the response number 1... what do you think about it? thanks again and happy myLotting...

I have reduce activities online these days, and definitely my earning has reduced. I used to write for freelancing and now a days I feel lazy and exhausted, so left most of my project incomplete. My extra earning has reduced therefore.

Hello raisur this is checkmail and me too was inactive for nearly an week or so after getting mine first payout from mylot.I had gone to my native place for some rest. When i logged in mylot there was an certain minimum deduction in my earnings too.But its not due to inactive, but due to deletion of the discussion started by other user, that we have responded. Our inaqctivity only puts an halt at our earnings, and we even couldn't notice this deduction mostly.Hope you get this, anyways Happy mylotting.

I have definately had the same feeling before. I have posted discussions similar to yours and every answer I got was basically telling me that wasn't possible without something I wrote having been deleted. I never recieved any notice of anything being deleted. Maybe they don't send those out, but I feel like they should so I won't keep doing the same thing. I don't even know how to find out what was deleted, if anything. I'm not sure what the deal is, but you aren't the only one that has noticed it.

Without the slighest doubt, yes. If you remain passive who is going to pay you, my friend. That is the truth. On the other hand, the more you are active, the more chances for you to earn. I could not be online for at least a month here on mylot due to my health problems. I did not earn a penny then. And that is completely right. After that for the past 8-10 days, I have again joined the work here and I have earned some cents in my account. So, the more the activity the more in earnings you will get. Now let me clarify you one thing. What I want to say is about your question from a different angle. Unlike other sites where your earnings are reduced due to your inactivity, I would not like to name the site, but most of us might know that, the earnings from mylot are not reduced, but they stand as they are. Suppose you have 15 cents on day one and you again visit and do some activity on say day 5, your earnings will remain 15 cents. They will not be reduced to say 10 cents or so. So, your earnings are static. But in one sense they will get reduced. Because had you worked for remaining 3-4 days, you could have earned some more. In that sense, your earnings have surely reduced. But that is only as far as you are concerened.

hi abhi, thanks for your response... are you from west bengal? abhi_bangal - did you mean your ancestors were from east bengal or (presently Bangladesh)? anyway, let me fall back to the topic of the discussion (by the way, is it a violation to talk about something else in any discussion? i'm yet to know many things about myLot)... yeah, i've known from you all by now that earnings don't get reduced for inactivity... but, yet I'm still confused about many things in myLot... i think, it would be better if there would be a notification system in myLot... abhi, thanks again for your response... happy myLotting...

I don't think that inactivity will cause a reduction in our mylot earnings. I have away from mylot for about 2 months and I did not noticed that my earnings went down. Some other reasons might cause the reduction of mylot earnings but certainly not inactivity. You might have answered discussions which were deleted causing a reduction in your mylot earnings as well. Anyway, hope you increase your mylot earnings in the coming day.

I share the same view as abhi ,earnings dont get reduced but i am more curious as to the precise manner as to how earnings are calculated.I mean ,say 1 short sentence in response to a topic in comparison to a long paragraph. Are earnings same between both..i am still not sure how much the rate is for posting ,responding. How is it calculated.Per sentence, per paragraph etc

No. being inactive for quite sometimes will not reduce the earnings gained, however your earnings will remain stagnant as it is.
