My husband is a very picky eater. The only vegetables he will consume are black eye peas, baked potato, french fries, and corn. But it can't be creamed corn. He doesn't eat soup, salad, chili, or stews. He doesn't eat gravy. Wait, this is a southern boy! He doesn't eat pizza or spaghetti. No Mexican food, Chinese, etc. It's meat and bread for this one.
Just don't try to take his porkchops and you'll be fine.
As picky as he is, I've heard that some people won't eat things because of their color. Like when they made ketchup in colors other than red. They like ketchup but it has to be red.
I can be picky about textures. I don't do liver! But I don't have an issue with color. It's the taste for me that determines what I like and don't like.
How about you?

Hi, Carolyn63! I don't consider myself to be a picky eater, now there are certain foods that i will not eat. I will not eat them because i do not like the taste. Liver is one of the foods i will not eat. I also won't eat oysters raw, or otherwise. As far as color goes, it doesn't matter to me. I judge what foods i eat on how they taste. If it tastes good then i will eat it, and if i don't like the taste of it then no way.

No oysters for me either. I love clams and scallops though.
The person I was told about won't eat anything green. That's what, the majority of vegetables, some fruit??? He wouldn't even try the green ketchup.
There isn't much I won't eat. Liver, cooked cauliflower, oysters, that's all I can think of at the moment.

I'm not a picky eater but i am picky about color, i'm not that much into green foods like spinach and lettuce. I'm not into red foods or anything like that, my favorite colored foods are brown foods, and that's why i love chicken so much because its brown and crispy.

Thanks Bigplay. Now I know it is more common than I realized. That is what I was curious about. So, I have to wonder, if colors were experimented with more, would more people eat better?
And yes, I love chicken too. A few other brown things as well. Gravy being one of them.
