Are you texting while walking?

Sometimes I do it. Specially if im in a MALL. But never do it on the streets. It's either I got run over by rushing cars or my phone will be gone in no time by those snatchers hehehe

HaHa ..here in Philippines many people do that. they are not afraid that there are lots of snatchers hanging around. texting while walking if dangerous here because its very hot in snatchers eyes.... But if you have a very old model of cellphone you can do that, no one will harm you..

i do. but most of the time when it is important. more often than not, i do not check the phone when i walk. more so when in the department store. it is too noisy for me to hear the text tone. especially in the department store, when i am doing my window shopping. LOL

I've not even got a mobile phone at the moment but if I had, I wouldn't text whilst walking. The main reason for this is I trip up all the time when I'm out so if I had a phone in my hand, texting away...well, you can imagine how bad it could end up lol. I also think it's bad manners to text whilst walking because it increases the likelihood of bumping into someone walking in the opposite direction...but it turns out that people doing the texting never get out of the way of others, which I think is extremely rude. It's not too bad if they are speaking on the phone, at least their head is up looking where they are going.

Yes. I am. I love texting while walking, eating, or even driving sometime. I can't see the dangerous when I'm texting while walkking. I just can see the dangerous when I'm driving only.

Yes I have before when I was on my break at work. You really have to be aware of what you're doing though. You don't want to be hitting into a truck, hehehe. If I do it I try to walk a little then stop and text a little. I really don't prefer to do it at all walking. It's better to stand or sit down, right? Take care. Happy myLotting. Keep roxing!

i don't really see the problem with it if people know what they are doing. I have seen people looking at the ground while texting. To each their own.

No I don't use cellphone while I'm walking because it is dangerous you can hit by a car. Some people still doing it and I can't understand them if they want to text or to call they can stop for a while.

I actually don't text all that often at all. Typically when I do text it is either when I am at my desk or it is when I am riding in the car while my husband is driving. I do have a texting plan on my cell phone, but I've never thought that texting was really an efficient way to communicate so I've just never really done it all that often. Call me crazy or whatever, but where my brother and sister have been addicted to texting for a while, I've never really gotten used to it.

I do it - I just make sure not to do it when I'm crossing a road.

well i will never do this and moreover it is really very dangerous texting and walking , i do walk and talk but never walk and do text becasue while texting your concentration should be on mobile only whereas in case of talking you just need to put the phone to your ear and you can look around and there is no chance of accident but texting and walking , there is a gret chance of accident , while driving doing this will result into accident andwhile walking also.

I tend to text and walk arond a lot of the times no matter where i'm at or wherej i'm going i also have a bad habbit of texting in the shower and while driving i acctually have crashed because i was texting while i was driving my car

I saw many people done that, and especially my sister, she does text a lot to her friends. I have not much authority to advise her, because sometimes she listen to me, and most time, she doesn't. I would advise people if you have patience, do not text while driving or walking. Consider your safety as well as others.

Yes, i often do it at malls or walking outside our village but more than that i don't. If i do have a ride I'll avoid the bad habit because it might put me in danger and also innocent people on the streets. I've encountered lots of drivers doing it and they need to be disciplined.

I used to text while walking, but now I've already got rid of this habit. Personally speaking, it's not a good habit. Just as you said, when a person completely focuses on the mobile phone, he or she may neglect some potential dangers. For instance, thieves may choose those people as their ideal targets.

It is very dangerous if you are driving then texting. I for one do not practice that because in driving, your senses and skills should be alert because the obstacles in road cannot be predicted but if you are aware of the roads and people, then you will avoid any accidents. AS they say " NO ONE can serve TWO masters at the same time. If you insisted it, there will always one who will suffer as consequence. It is agreeable that, texts can wait but life of a person cannot wait when in danger and cause trouble. so I would never risk my life, and other life's because of social irresponsibility, and careless actions..

yeah yeah yeah i do it ofetn. it was the reason why i dont have a celphone now. i was a victim of a snatcher twice and it was because of my stupid celphone. why, i cant help texting while walking especially if someone is my just my friend. im into a lot of trouble lately only because of my cellphone. now, i am not planning to buy a new one because im afraid it be snatched again and im wasting my money for it.

I am one of those people you saw texting while walking. I do text every time I receive special and important messages. I know it isn't a good idea to text while you are walking along the street but i don't know why I continue doing it. Well maybe because I still focus on walking even when I am texting. I can write a message on my cellphone even without looking at it. I already memorized all the keys so it is very easy for me to do it.

Yes im texting while walking, if its emergency only. But so far im avoiding that because it is risky and a lot of holduppers are at the malls and streets.
