Exactly one week before Christmas

Christmas is very near but why is it I can't still feel it... Even the air is not cold during night and morning. They say Christmas is for kids... Is that why I feel about it now? Am I getting old or something? I believe Christmas is for the whole family, it is not just for kids. It is a special occasion which brings the whole family together... A time to remember the day when Christ is born... Our savior! A day for celebration! Do you feel the Christmas already? What is the true meaning of it to you?

It feels like Christmas around my house. Simply because we've put our decorations up, tree is up and plans for the day have been made. It's not cold here because it's the middle of summer so the traditional white christmas is not something we have here but for me and my family christmas is a chance to celebrate the holiday as well as spend time with loved ones.

Right now I can't feel the Christmas too like before. I do agree that Christmas now is only for kids. When we are young we always looking forward for Christmas but when we gets old our views in Christmas is also change. Yes I agree that it is the day to remember the day when Jesus Christ is born so it is also important to celebrate it.

Hi agv0419! Do you think it has connection of gift giving? When we are younger, we are very excited with Christmas--- receiving and opening gifts particularly. Now, as we go older, we are the ones giving gifts and receiving fewer gifts than before as well...

Hi Lovelyn, I wonder the same thing, am I getting old or something, because I'm not feeling the Christmas spirit, I don't even have my tree up and debating wither to put it up. This is the first year I have not a tree up yet. I was thinking of putting it up today. I'm a christian and I believe the reason I feel the way I do is because to most people it seems as though it's all about the shopping for gifts etc. And I haven,t done that either yet. This is the most unusual Christmas for me as far as my feelings! Happy Holidays to you and your family! GOD Bless?

Really until now, you haven't put up your christmas tree? Wow! That is really late! And also you haven't buy your christmas presents? It is very hard to do christmas shopping rush! i used to have the spirit the day after thanksgiving and all the way up til christmas eve lol. but now i usually wont get the spirit until 3 days before christmas. :]
