Do you use one side blank papers or throw them away?

Some times we take out print out on the front page only and the back side is plain. I will not waste it. I will write any song or recipe on that. Sometimes I will cut them to pieces and keep next to the phone so that any body giving any phone number, address, email id etc. in the phone can be immediately jotted down on this paper. Later we can throw them out. Even in the office, I never waste it. I will use it for rough work. Do you use one side papers?

I will use the back side,I think it's a good habit and can save money and resource. I also use them in my office, except special documents.

First of all I agree with Maggiepie, the kitten picture is so cute. I feel like taking the kitten in the hands. I have two kitten at home and two outside to feed. Coming to the point, you are right. For special documents we cannot use one side paper. Feel happy to read that you recycle the one sided papers. They are economical and save trees.

Mary, this is off topic, but I just had to tell you I love your kitten picture! I went to your profile & saw the other kitty pictures--how adorable they are! But is the little white one which is your avatar your kitty? Or did you find her (his?) picture on the internet? I'm just curious, & I love all cats! ...Hi Buchi_bulla, Sometimes I will use both sides of a sheet of paper, but your question is making me think that I should do more of that. It is wasteful to only use one side of the paper and toss it in the trash. I once saw an article of tips, and they said that they take the envelopes that their mail comes in and open them up for use as note paper. I have never gotten into the habit of that yet. But I will start to make use of both sides of the sheets of paper I use. Thank you.

Lot of uses can be put forth for one sided paper. It is not only economical but saves the tree felling for paper making purposes. It is eco-friendly friend. I am happy you are into this good purpose.

I use it to print rough drafts of poetry. I use it to print e-mails. I use to write out to do list, grocery lists, shopping lists and leave notes for my assistants. I hate being wasteful. We only have one planet.

Occasionally I may just toss it in my fifth grade-esque cardboard box full of paper to recycle. More often than not though the paper finds itself folded into fourths and various notes to self scrawled across it. Then it gets tucked under my keyboard until I decide to see what all I have under there. If I'm not at the computer the paper takes an assignment in the dreaded back pocket, from which few pieces of paper ever return. Though I've taken to carrying those fat little coil bound books in my pocket to write things on. I'd prefer something old-school though, with a proper spine and all that.

Enjoyed your way of writing Arkadus. I think one fine morning you will find lot of one sided papers in the cardboard box and bind them as notebooks. On seeing them some good ideas will strike and you will start writing stories. When TV channel interviews you, and ask how did you become a writer, you will say one sided papers made me become a writer.

Hello Buchi_bulla. This school term, I had an intern for two months and I have learned a lot from her in making good use of the paper. Each time she helped me to have some papers printed, she used to have the printing lady to use both sides of the paper. Now I am doing the same. I think that I should have more teachers make use of the paper this way to save more paper. It is a good idea of yours, friend.

I use the back side of papers also. I like to have scrap paper laying around so I can jot things down on it. It saves me alot of new paper by using the blank side of anothert that has already been used.

it just depends, I don't have a lot of paper I print out any more, so I don't have too many of them, I actually have note paper to write on - but even then I'm as apt to open my phone's note application and write there.

Hi, we do the same at the office - recycling the printed sheets and using the blank sides for work paper or notes. We also do that at home as well. It's such a waste to throw them away. Like you, I cut them into quarters and use these for notes or memos.

Theres no way i would waste it, not only for the eco factors, but I mean no matter if you paid 1$ or 10$, that was your money paying for the paper product. And besides it looks totally clean on the other side. Some of my many uses for the other side are: I print fresh alignment sheets for my printer, or I will cut the sheets into 4 squares and staple them to make little notepads, cutting them into strips can be great for a quick bookmark and I really like using them as small place mats when I am eating while working on the computer, nothing sucks like getting a grease/goop stain on the keyboard or desk. There are just so many ways heck you could even search for some origami online and have some quick fun.

when on the office we may use thos one side blank papers for the office print again and then cut it .but at home sometimes we do not like to use the one side paper often and even we can't use any paper at all. one computer will do most everything and no need to write much.

I use just about every square inch of the paper! I write lists, notes, reminders, lyrics and poems all over a sheet of paper; both sides! Then I make sure I have it all copied off and put in its proper category before I toss it!!

I usually use the back side of it to either jot down notes or cut them into pieces and make it like a note pad. Currently I give them to my son so he can use it to either cut it or just draw on it. It really depends on the time and season when it is available.

If it's a specific document I only use one side, because that's what my printer will do, but if I'm just printing out a groccery list, or a test page, or something stupid that I'll just end up using for scraps later, then I'll use both sides of the sheet, and get the most use out of it that I can.

You are right danishcanadian. Important papers should be kept as it is. But surplus forms in the office, computer print outs etc. can be recycled.

I used both side of the paper. When I am printing documents, when it is not be transfer out in the office I used the back page for my other docs and production schedules. I even compiled it and use it as a scratch paper. We do not waste paper at work because even paper is expensive. It is more economical to use the backpage of the paper. We've been doing this since from the start.

In my office I have seen people wasting papers. It is painful to see that. I never waste paper. Even to be thrown papers, I use as coaster for coffee cup.

Never waste a one sided paper! If you don't need it, you can sent it to my office as well :p We have 3 branch office, each month they sent one-side blank paper (used paper) to our office. And we make full extent of that paper for internal report. Even if they have been used on both side, I, personally, still filter them out and cut the empty space on that paper and clip it together and used it as a memo. Besides, used paper also can be used to laminate :)

If we recycle the papers, trees are saved is it not? Forget about the English friend. As long as you are able to convey your thoughts, that is enough. You will learn better in due course. All of us learnt in the same manner.
