Do you add all that request to be a friend here on Mylot, or do you go through their profile and decide whether to add that person or not? I add every request I find in the add to friend's tab, I don't usually go through their profiles, I even turn on the notification. How about you guys?

Hi,..
I'm new here,.. I need you all to be my friends..
Making friends is the one that I've been looking for all my life time. When I was a little girl, Someone told me this : "If you need more space, don't go to Mars. The only simple way is Making Friends" This is completely right!
I add every request sent to me no matter who they were/are. I believe, there will be always something good that I could learn even from the bad guys.(My Facebook www.facebook.com/taurisca.tawalujan).

Normally, I look at the profiles first before adding. If it's a new user or a long-time member, I won't hesitate to add. But if it's a person with O activity, I'll be a bit wary..

I do go through their Profiles and see if there is anything in common
I have been here 4 years and have had so many Members spam me when added I am now very careful who I add
My Friendslist is Friends that I have been Friends with for a long time, that are Friends not just People who respond to Discussions, we have built Friendships over the Years here and that is what counts, there is a Person behind the Name not just someone who starts Discussions and responds to them

I totally agree with you, for saying that there is a person behind the name. Thanks for your response.

i would usually add anybody, but there are some very new lotters who would join and send me a request, there was one with 0 posts(i am still pending the friend request) and i waited for him/her for a week and not a single activity and so i didn't add the lotter yet otherwise i don't have any hesitation, yeah well but i don't activate each and everyone's notification, i don't want to have to many e-mails rushing in and so i go to friends started tab and have a look there... have a nice day.

Yes I do. I really can't think of any reasons why I shouldn't. I think it's a good way to have people respond to your discussions and so I can browse to a lot of nice discussions started by them. I also love it when newbies add me because I love helping them out in here. :D

I have always added anyone who requested my friendship. I think it is good. Of course, some of them may have agendas for wanting to be friends with you. As for me, I planned to honour my friends by not spamming them. Instead, get to know them and keep things this way.

I tend to usually look at their profiles first, before adding them. It's just something that I've taken the habit of doing, and now it's more of a force of habit. After taking a look at their profile, I might add them, or I might not. It depends on a lot of things really.

I don't look at the profiles. I just accept any friend requests. If they send me any pm about what they do and ask me to join, I ask them no to send me any more of those messages. If they continue after I have asked them not to send any, then I will delete them. I love having friends on here but I don't want to be harrassed by unwanted messages.

I agree, we accept friends to know them better, if they are using us for the promotion of their sites, its no good.

Hi keep_onwatch,
Before this, I will accept anyone friend request. Unfortunately some of them are spreading a the spamming messages, never communicate with me in the discussion, some I never see again after I accept their friend request and some do not have a same interest as mine. So, I have to delete some of the from my list.
Right now, before I accept any friend request, I will check their profile and their activities first. If I find that they are active and have a same interest with me, I will add them. otherwise, I just ignore the request.

I visit their profiles and then I accept all those requests.Though some think that it a waste to have all those new ones or with the ones with whom we dont interact on a regular basis but there is nothing wrong if we had them in our list. But i really hate those who spam me and i would delete them if they continue to do so after an warning.good day.

Hi,
I always accept all friends request that are sent to me, I haven't denied one yet since being here on mylot. I've never gone through their profile and decided whether to add them or not, we're all here for the same reasons and it's cool to meet new people. Once in a while I'll just check out their profile and see what their like or where their from but that doesn't change my decision on whether they should be my friend on here or not.

As far as I am concerned, I usually add all that request to be a friend here on Mylot. I think the person who has the request to be a friend just want to be friendly to each other. For the profle , I just sometimes look at the profile whether to add their requsts. But I just add them as my friends. We just come here to make friends with each other.

I too have never denied a friend request though I have deleted a couple of friends due to various reasons. I then decide whether or not I will set their notifications on or off based on their discussion topics and responses so that I receive pertinent notifications.

I won't add everyone. I wait and see how active they are. I'll watch their numbers and if they don't seem to be going up then I won't add them. I don't keep the notifications on. I only have them on for one friend on here. I don't get to my email more than once a day and it would fill up with all the notifications if I had them turned on for everyone. probably 75% of my friends I have now aren't active anymore so it kind of seems like a waste. Half the time the discussions I answer are from other people.

I usually accept all the friend requests. If they have requested me I imagine they have a reason for it, but so far none of those requesters have told me a word.
Even so I'm the kind of person to give an opportunity to others.

Yes I do. I always add all my friend requests as a gesture of thanks that they have given me the opportunity for them to be a friend. Me too, I do not always see their profiles before I accept to their request. Therefore, I always add all my friend requests. ^^

i am really newbie at htis site but i have used much not like this site.its first time doing online sort of work so i think its good to have friends to talk you with if have problems you can ask your friends to sort you out so i think its good to make more and more friends adn accept invites of everyone cause its not good to throw a hand of friendship away so be friendly and have good time here.
