Hi!
I haven't been on this thing for awhile. Anyway, who here loves yams or sweet potato? I just recently fried some sweet potato fries which took a while to do. I had the muchies so I decided to make some of that before my sweet potatoes rot, lol. After frying them in slices, I seasoned them with salt, pepper, and paprika. Then I ate that stuff with tomato ketchup! lol. Try it! You might like it afterall.

You must be a great cooker.I tried to make potato pies, unfortunately but within my expectation,I made a mess.It was even not cooked enough to eat, though I thought it could at least be eaten. Potato fries seem easy to make.I may have a try again.

HI,
Hehhe, thanks! I have some dishes that I know I can cook, but I've not yet cooked or made any pies. I'd like to make apple pie or taro pie. When my hubby and I went to a Mc'Donalds in Hawaii, they were selling taro pie and it was so delicious that until now I'm still hooked! Hhahaha, anyway sweet potato fries is really easy to make. Just slice them and fry and when they're done cookin you just eat ! lol

HI,
Oh really? Ill try it one day with sour cream too if it's baked hehe. Also have you guys tried french fries with thousand island dressing and tomato ketchup? Thousand island dressing maybe high in calories but theyre really good with fries!

I've never made them myself (I'm not very good with things that need to be thoroughly/take a long time) but I've eating sweet potato fries before and they were super. I like sweet baked potatoes with sour cream, next time I get fries I'll try some cream on them.

Sweet potatoes/yams are GREAT and so healthy. Sweet potato fries are au courant at many restaurants these days. You can "oven fry" (bake) them as well, if frying is a concern. Sweet potatoes in any form are soooo good - baked, mashed, plain or gussied up with seasonings, brown sugar, or any additions you like. I've seen the fries served with a sweet/sour sauce and even an garlic aoli. It's a great taste.

usaflove08 I love sweet potatoes and yams both. I have had them fried and baked both, good either way but for me baked is better as I have to be careful of fats, I am a diabetic. That sounds a lot like eggplant parmesan ,thats eggplant fried with parmesan cheese sprinkled on it and tomato sauce poured over it. really delicious.

I made sweet potato chips one time which I made pretty much the same as you did the fries except I sliced them in thin chips. Then I served then with dinner one night. The kids did not really know what they were and they were eating them and liking them and then they found out that they were sweet potato chips and all of the sudden they didn't like them anymore. LOL I should have just kept my mouth shut.
