facing problme in using Google talk ?

hey freind please help o install the google talk software so that i can keep in touch with my friends easily..i tried several time to install the google talk software it install also when i start the software than it got hanged after few minutes,,do tell me where is the problem

As others said use latest version and run it as Administrator. One thing I would like to add is check whether your firewall or antivirus has blocked the installation. if so try to unblock it or just disable antivirus or firewall (After disconnection from network) and try to install it. use the latest version of gtalk or it'll better to use skype for chatting
