I didn't have lost in a strange city, because i always follow close behind someone, perhaps my father, or my boyfriend, this would bring me much sense of security.
But i guess the feeling must be very good, if you walk around the city and you are so free.

Yeah, it's a great feeling my friend being free roaming around all by yourself. That's what most people get lost, because they get carried away with the things they'd seen and caught their self losing their way. I do believe that when you get lost you can always find your way, just PRAY! Anyway thank you for sharing with us and enjoy your day!

One time I walked to the city and that went fine. It was a four mile walk. Coming home I decided on a different route. However on that I lost my way. I came across the motorway and had to wander a long way to the right in order to cross it safely. I then walked to a village and asked "Where am I". I wished to go to Bridge. A farmer told me it would be a long walk to go via the road. He suggested I cut across the fields. There wasn't a path and I had to climb over some fences. I felt really nervous and didn't know if I was going to right way. I was so relieved when I reached a spot I knew. It took me ages to get home.
When I was traveling in Bulgaria I often got lost due to a lack of street signs, a language barrier and maps that didn't make sense. I found it challenging to find my way around. In Estonia I lost my way due to a lack of street names. A wheel came off my son's buggy. Luckily a lady helped me and my son find the guest house.

Oh, that experienced of yours really scary. I've been lost before but not to that extend. Wow! I might end up crying, if I were in your situation. yeah, language, different signboard characters, was a great barrier when you're traveling. That's why every time I travel, I make sure I know little of the language or dialect on that place. Anyway thank you for sharing with us and enjoy your day!~

I have been lost several times. I always buy a map when I visit a new place, but I usually get lost anyway. When I was living in Ravenna I shared an apartment with an Italian girl and on my first day she showed me the way to my language school. In the afternoon I had to go back on my own and I couldn't find the right street. I ended up in the wrong part of town and it took me a long time to get back to the area where I lived.
One month later one of the my classmates from the language school and I decided to go to the beach. We parked the car in one of the parking lots and found a place to sit down. When we wanted to go back we couldn't find the car. We walked around for 3 hours looking for the car, because neither of us remembered the name of the parking lot.

I've been lost several times but not in a strange place but I always found my way by asking questions. The good thing is that the people I have asked question are friendly. There are some people whom, when they see that you are a stranger, will take their opportunity to abuse especially if you're a girl and alone. So, we must be careful about them. I always pray whenever I travel for God to guide our trip. God bless.

When I was a kid I was lost in a big yearly fair. AFter that I was taken to the lost and found announcement place. They told my parents name on the loud speaker, which made my parents get me back.
My parents still remember that incident. They say that I was very good in speaking at that age of 6.
