Hi Baluyadav, yes. I was young and naive. I joined a new office, and there I was going to the Registrar of Companies to find out various things. I always had problem in getting information, even though I spent a lot of time going to that place. The work would move ever so slowly, and I would have to do things for ages. Slowly I realized it was money that made many things move there. And my bosses were open to such idea. Well, incorporation which took about 3 or 4 months started getting over without a week! You know why. :)

Wherever I go to get some certificate, whether birth certificate, khatha, electrical and water connection, extra offering will always be there. It has become a natural phenomenon everywhere.

Baluyadav, anything done for convenience has a price to be paid. There is nothing wrong if the middleman is paid a commission for his services. That's my opinion.

hi,shoban,it's true, giving as commission is different and giving as bribe is different.the Government employees have to do without taking money from public..for their work Government is paying as salary..
Have a nice time.

hi baluyadav,
I experience it in my local post office when I am going to get and ID and forget to bring all my necessary document. The officer in charge just whisper he would issued a postal Id but I have to pay a higher amount and not the regular fees . The same things in getting a authenticated copies of birth certificate in local registry the officer inform that it would take us 2 weeks before they could give us a copy then i insist I have to get it as on the next 2 days is my flight to go in another place. That i really need the document. The staff again say she could finish it within 30 minutes then have to pay with her asking price. So I have nothing to complain and take his offer as I badly need the documents. It really show with the kind of situation that corruption exist such as the so -call red tape or under the table transaction/negotiation happen inside the government. The issuing staff is so slow to finish your request unless you give them money and that is corruption in face to face situation.

there are many faces of corruption. here in the Philippines, it is very common among government officials. what irked me the most whenever i heard the word 'corruption' is that the people who did this has anything to do with the future of the nation. every single acts counts. they cared nothing as long as they could get as much money as can in expense for other peoples sacrifices.
