Well, If I had to choose one between these two, I will leave my friend and I am sure my friend will understand that I leave him for a lady who has to live with me through rest of my life. He will not hate me, so with a heavy heart I will leave him.

Who asked you leave one of them?We can balance both of them in our life and live happily as before.A friend and the wife need not to come face to face in our life and it will not bother us at all.May be they will complain each other but that can be ignored.

you really don't have to choose:) just talk to them and try to figure things out. If they love you, they won't let you choose between them.

I wouldn't leave either. They would just have to deal with the fact that I want them both in my life. And if one or both tries to give me an ultimatum oh well. They don't truly care about me if they would give up our relationship because of something so stupid. Nobody who truly cares about you would make you make a decision like that; put you through something like that. Often when this happens, after a while of being forced to be around each other they start to see that they aren't so different after all and they may become really close friends. Of course this isn't always the case, but it's something to hope and strive for.

Why should I leave anybody?They can be treated as such without any confusions.If he is my best friend,then he should understand my love towards that girl and if she is my true lover,then she should accept my friendship.Either way,they should not threaten me with their binding with me.

They don't have to like each other. but if they really are your friend/lover they should make the effort to not hate each other because of you. I wouldn't leave either of them.

For me, I will not leave any of them. In your case , As much possible since both of them are closed to you then at least they can adjust their prides for your sake so as not to keep you in the middle of them.
Who knows, they may end up soon with a realizations that things are better when they are already in friends too.
With whoever you choose, there will be one who is hurting. so, better try to patch them both and give themselves another chance and be introduced respectfully. Disregards any previous bad comments and start a new life.
In that, all of you will be given new chances and doors. Besides, everybody deserves a second chance.
