Is it not a better idea to do some domain check before registration to PTC Sites

Since i am seeing a lot of discussion around PTC site and frauds even i am lured into this trap and have registered for a few. I would like to make a suggestion here that if we can do some basic "who is" check then i guess we can at least ensure the basic authenticity of site. If you do not know how to check the "who is" please google. I use domaintools.com site to check domain registration information. What are the check points : 1.Check who is the registrar of the domain. 2.Check when is the site going to expire. 3.Check if the addresses and the webmasters contacts are mentioned. A site which is fraud will rarely reveal so many details(i.e. They'll make the information private) What say guys?Please Share your views
