I need gift ideas for my techie dad for Christmas

My dad loves all the nerdy techie cool gadgets, but I don't know anything about those things because I'm a girl and I don't really know the difference between a Blackberry and a Blackjack or a Plasma or LCD TV. I still have an old TV, like the kind that's in the wooden case from the 80s. I need some quick ideas! How do you buy techie gifts for someone when you don't know anything about tech stuff? I saw some ideas here ( http://www.techviva.com/ ) but I just don't know. I don't think he has a GPS. Which is a good one I should get him? Guys like GPSs, right? Cuz they always get lost? Thanks!
