I don't think and I am still dangerous

We've all put things in strange places, like the car keys in the fridge or the sugar in the bathroom. I really did it last night. I came home tired and sore from my doctor's visit for the nerve block in my neck, plus I did my final bit of Christmas shopping. I got home around 8 p.m. and fed cats, dogs and grabbed a cup of tea and relaxed. I talked to my BF who is up at his daughter's house for the weekend and decided to call it a night. I grabbed my tea cup and went into the kitchen to make a cup of water for tea. I put something in the microwave and took the remote and phone into the bedroom. I came back into the kitchen and looked on the counter and my tea cup was on the counter...WHAT WAS IN THE MICROWAVE??? I opened the door and sitting on the turn table was the magazine I had bought to read in bed. Okay, there is a lot of difference between a magazine and a cup isn't there? Fortunately the magazine wasn't hurt (at $6 for a magazine I would have been a bit upset.) and I went ahead and made the tea. What is the strangest place that you have put something that really belonged someplace else?

Hi Gabs How are you doing. Good I hope. I just wanted to share something with you. As you know I have been looking for a Yorkie. My youngest sons girlfrind ex husband had one that he doesn't want to keep. So we told her that we would take the Yorkie. I called her just a few minutes ago to see if she had talked with him about. She did and he won't let us have her because Im Nick's mom..Aint that the craziest thing that you have ever heard of. I did see the Yorkie and she is adorable..Oh well maybe its not meant for me to get one.. Keep smiling my friend.

About the Yorkie, isn't there a friend of yours that could go and see the dog and take it for you? I don't like the sound of someone who won't allow someone to take a dog just out of spite. You sound like you would give the dog a wonderful home, and I feel like it is meant for you. It is just getting a friend to adopt the dog and then give the dog to you. Good luck on the dog and have a Merry Christmas.

Sorry, I cannot top your story. LOL. The worst I end up doing when I am tired is accidently locking the cat in the studio overnight, and I suspect that they are partially to blame for that also. I am glad that your magazine was ok; I am surprised that it did not scorch around the staples.

I am one of those persons whose life is always a laugh. I have said many times that God put me on earth for comic relief! I spend a lot of time looking for things that I have put in odd spots. I have managed to lock cats in strange places, including accidentally running one of my cats through the dryer. He is okay, but it was so funny. I had one of the mini dryers and the door never would stay shut when it was running, the cat loved to crawl in on the damp warm clothes. I would know the clothes weren't dry, shut the door and turn the dryer back on and walk off. I would hear a MEOW, thud; MEOW, thud and know that Charlie had gotten in the dryer again and race back and get him out. He would be fine (other than his eyes twirling in their sockets) and would march off in a huff. But it never cured him of crawling in the dryer!

I think it's pretty normal. I've on occasion opened something, say, one of those individually wrapped slices of processed cheese, and thrown out the chesse slice instead of thr wrapper by accident. But usually I just find myself starting to put something in the fridge that has no reason to be in there. But I usually realize it by the time I get about four steps away from it. Because something just looked off about what I'd been looking at.

Most of mine involve my head. But I'm tall and this country is built for people a foot shorter than me. I don't know how my brother deals with it since he's taller than me. .. That did not feel nice to either the head or my pride. Luckily I have very little of that to begin with. :p

I don't mess up things like this.I think it is because you live a more tensed life which makes you act like that.May be your neck pain or tiresome work leads you to a life style like that.Having a free time before returning form work and chatting with some good friends may relieve your tensions a lot and you will not be misplacing things anymore.

You're right. I need to get back in the habit of coming home and turning the computer on to the net so that my phone line is tied up and I can't answer the phone. I have one friend who is a "drama queen" and the least thing has her calling me in tears about the drama she is having with her husband. I have been stating for a long time that I need to focus on me and tune out a lot of the rest of the stuff. I am dealing with enough with the pain issues and the digestive issues (currently I am going through tests to see if I have an ulcer, which comes from all the tension from my "drama queen" friend. Thank you so much for your suggestion and reminding that I need to take time for me and just relax and release the tension. There are too many times that I forget that aspect that I should be including in my life. Thank you!

HAHAHAHA That was cute loverbear...Im sure that the only thing on your mind was to get in that bed with the tea and magazine.. Let me tell you a trick I did. I have been under a lot of stress here lately. I got a phone call to make sure that I was going to make it on time to take my son some commisary money, which I had forgot. So I am rushing around the house trying to gather up my things. I always carry my cell phone that If hubby calls he will know where I am. I jump in the car and get going to the post office. I get all that done and decided to call the hubby and about something. I reached over in the driver seat to get the phone...well..I got he phone alright. It was the house phone....LOL..I had taken it instead of my cell phone..I laughed at myself all the way home...

It sounds so much like me! I use a cordless phone in the house, and it never fails when the phone rings I try to answer it on the dish antenna remote! Or when I go to make a call I pick up the dish remote and start pushing numbers. I do get some very strange channels!

Honestly, this kind of situation never happened to me. Im so much of an organize person that I knew where I put my things. Because when I needed them again I would have no difficulty in finding them. It was a discipline I learned from my father and a practice I have been doing since a I was child.

Gee, wanna come and organize my house? I am trying so hard to get it organized but every time I have a break from my college classes and plan to do the organizing, something comes up to mess up my plans! At this point all I can do is stand in the middle of the house and holler "EVERYTHING I OWN IS LOST!!" LOL. Of course having the kind of craft business I do (I make teddy bears) it isn't conducive to being extremely organized.

hi loverbear one day the three of u s, my son , my hubby and myself were hunting all over for the sugar bowl as we had some grapefruit that was really sour. no sugar bowl, after looking in all the likely spots, I did open the refrigerator door and there on the shelf with the creamer was ye old sugar bowl. nice and cold huh? any way we did find it at 'least. another time it was raining and I searched all over my bedroom and no umbrella where I usually kept. okay I went into the bathroom and started to check my lipstick and there was the umbrella lying on the floor next to the toilet. I had not remembered bringing in there but since no one else was home it had to have been me.

I'm sorry but the first thing that came to mind about the umbrella was "It would be really handy when you're in the shower!" LOL I have put so many things in odd spots and then wondered why I did that. I have found the hammer in the washer, (still haven't figured that one out) the cat food in the bathroom cupboard (wonder where I put the toilet paper?) and put my term paper in the freezer (maybe for a cool grade?). I guess without doing these strange things life would be pretty dull, right?

Hehehe lovebear that is too funny. I don't think I have ever done anything quite that strange but I have had a few times when I have had a "brain toot" The one that I can think of mostly recently is i ran to the store that other day and bought both laundry detergent and milk along with other things but I was putting things away and I went down to the basement to put my laundry detergent away and as i went to sit it on the shelf I noticed that it was the milk that was in my hand and I thought what the heck so i ran back up the stores to grab the detergent and didn't see it so I thought well I know I brought it in from the car but it was a busy day so I thought well maybe i just thought i did so I thought I will put the milk away and run back out to the car and well wouldn't you know as i opened the fridge to sit the milk in there there was my detergent.....

the craziest thing i did it think was to give water to my baby instead of milk, when i was very sleepy to check everything. i usually prepare two bottles for my baby at night. one with only water to be mixed later with milk when the mixed one is already consumed, and the other one is with milk already. because i was so sleepy one night, very tired from work, when my daughter ask for milk, i rely more on my reflexes and automatically reach out for the bottle of milk. i was surprised when morning came when i was about to bring the container of these two bottles to the kitchen when i noticed that the one with milk is still full. i asked myself, WHAT DID I GAVE? later i realized that what i gave was water alone not the milk, lol. i think that was the craziest think i did. we can do something strange when we are tired, not in the mood, or when our mind is simply preoccupied with something else.

Hello Loverbear I have such a forgetful mind that I would leave my head behind if it weren't attached to my body. One day I was out grocery shopping a our Super Walmart. I love going there because I can do everything such as pay my bills and get money orders, food, clothes and body wash etc...So I went shopping for my food, paid for everything then I went to the ATM for money to get money orders and pay bills. Well I get to my car and realize that somewhere n between the ATM and my car I realized that I was no longer pushing a cart full of groceries. I had left all my food at the counter where you get money orders. My face was full of embarrassment walking back in that Walmart. I just started to go back to that Walmart it's been 6 months. I have officially stopped trying to multitask.

You sound a lot like me, only my thing that I don't do if I can avoid it is to make two appointments in the same day. I have to go to Stanford hospital every three months, and I see several different doctors. Well I made appointments for the same day and NONE of them worked out. I left a bunch of upset people in my wake...and I tried to explain that it wasn't my fault that the doctors for previous appointments were slow, but it didn't cut any slack from the rest of the doctors. That day was the day I swore not to make two appointments for the same day. I too have wandered off and left my groceries or other purchases behind. I hate to tell you how often a bag person has chased me down to give me my purchases! LOL.
