It is a known fact that greens are essential for health and should be added in our daily meals. It supplies iron to the body. I add greens to my menu weekly twice. I make some item with greens and see to it that my family gets greens quota regularly in their meals. Do you eat greens? At what intervals do you add greens for the menu?

Do you mean anything green, or specifically "greens" like turnip greens or mustard greens? I add greens all the time but I don't get the opportunity to have turnip or mustard greens very often. So I guess my answer depends on what type of greens you are talking about. I try to have fresh green something every day!

I mean any type of greens. There are many varieties available in the market. Fenugreek seed leaves are good for getting more iron. Some are good for stomach worms and stomach and mouth ulcers. Happy you take greens regularly. We get turnip greens here and I always buy them. Have a great day.

I eat spinach pretty much everyday! I put it in sandwiches, soups, burritos, and pretty much anything I make. I love it, though! lately I have been lazy and not feeling like cooking other greens as I usually eat the spinach raw, but I used to just cook kale and put it in a bowl and eat it.

Each green variety has got it's own qualities. Try to give turn to other greens also whenever you can afford some time for it. Even I do the same. When I have time, I will buy different variety of greens and cook them. But I am happy you are taking spinach everyday.

Hello Buchi_bulla. Greens is my favorite. I eat greens every day. It is my major dish. I eat a lot more greens than meat. I think that it is good to our health. Even when I order food at a restaurant, I always order greens in the first place.

Yup, we try to include greens in our meals daily, especially lunch and/or dinner. We either eat them raw (salads), stir-fried or in soups.

Eating raw is very good for health. The vitamins are taken as it is without being destroyed by over cooking.

Hi buchi, If you meant greens as in green vegetables, then yes my family has a must daily quota of greens. Be it in soup, salads or juice. My mom especially really fond of veggie juice. Like mixing turnips, beans, carrots and tomatoes to make juice, it's weird for other people but it's healthy indeed.

I had checked into negative calorie foods these are foods that burn more calories than what you would gain from the food itself, some are lettuce, celery, spinach and brocoli.I love vegetables, fruit and seafood which are the most expensive at the grocery store and spoil the easiest. Citrus fruit another thing I love. The canned vegetables too much salt, the canned fruit too much sugar. When you freeze veggies they are limpy and mushy.yuck. I shop once a month everything is boxed ,canned or frozen.

My husband and I eat a lot of salad. We don't eat it every day, but we eat a lot of it. Other times we will have vegetables of all different colours, that we will eat for snacks, or as part of our meals. We don't eat a lot of fruit, but we both really like vegetables.

That is really good for health danishcanadian. You do not like fruits is it? My daughter asked me to eat boiled vegetables daily apart from regular vegetables used for cooking. She says her stamina has increased. I think you also eat lot of vegetables. I must also start eating more. Thanks, your response is stressing my daughter's advice and inspiring me to eat more vegetables.
