Why do some neighbors are very insensitive?

I really had a very bad day today. I slept around 3am because that is really my usual sleeping time. I am also suffering from insomnia. I usually wake up around 11am-12noon but today, I woke up around 8am today because of the loud music I heard from the neighbors. They know that there are some people around them that are still asleep but they took it for granted. They continued to enjoy and dance with an extremely loud music. They also talked very loud as if they were talking to someone in a very far distance. It was really very annoying. I tried to disregard the noises but it was totally unbearable. I just couldn't understand if they intended to do it or are they just very insensitive?

To irritate or just to make another good day go bad
They are not only insensitive but also inquisitive.

There are neighbors that are insensitive, i am just glad that my neighbors are nice and sensitive, but although some of them are not close to me.

I feel sympathy for you.May they didn't pay attention to you.Sometimes i met the similar situation with you.My roommates listen to music with loud volum while i was in bed.At first i tried to disregard it and if i still couldn't fall asleep i would ask they turned down the volum.
I suggest you ask them don't make loud noises.If they don't stop you can call 911.

i think that you should talk to police to deal with it.as for this neighbors,they could not easy accept your all of advice,in their mind,they only think about sharing life and like to look for stimulus of life.not think about moral and other people's mind,so you would not always intolerate their behaviour and take some action to deal with it.

because they are very selfish and want to have a lot of enjoyment and they do not care whether their neighbor is disturb by their noise. maybe they are party then it is excusable and it realy maddening if they done it everyday..

well, we couldn't really choose our neighbors .... I'm so pissed everytime it happens to me also because some of my neighbors tend to have a party weekly and up until 2am!!!! around 4am,you couldn't have a nice sleep also because my house is beside a national highway so try to imagine the jeepneys, motorcycles and buses you could hear roaring on the highway on wee hours....pheeeeew!!!

I think they want make a fight. I have the same neighbour, that he/she always park threir vehicle on the road although they have their own garage and they always park so as we can not pass through their side. someday my wifw was very angry and stop her car in front this parked vehicle then parked our car "face to face" with their car, left it on the road ...(hahaha/lol)...

Hi, pentagan. It is a common scenario for us Filipinos. I usually notice this same thing happening to us in times of fiesta celebration or a chapel fiesta nearby. We always have that from the backyard coming from big loudspeakers blurting out these extremely loud noise when they have benefit dances or programs. Worse is, it happens at night time and when you are about to go to sleep. How could we when they stop their dance at early morning?
I had, in the past, been tempted to go and talk to them but I decided against. I just practiced "maximum tolerance" coupled with "maximum patience" ... this maybe a regular thing annually, but it is only once a year, lol.

Oh I just had a two day noise craze from my neighbor. They had a huge party and everyone is singing, and the amplifier almost crash my room and it was crazy. I wasn't able to sleep well and I need to have my headset on to watch tv because I can't hear my tv's volume anymore. That loud.

Some people are basically insensitive and care two hoots about the problems they are causing around them.Unfortunately we cannot really change the people living around us.We can just make requests to them to try and alter their behaviour, it is entirely upto them whether they want to listen to you or not.

i just had the same problem,and i think i can beard them,but one afternoon,it was 12:30 that was my lunch break,they are listenning music and the voice was very loudly,then i got up and told them that "i'm sleeping,can you turn down the music voice" then they said that they were very sorry and until now they haven't done that again,so i suggest you to try to talk with them and tell them your feeling,if you don't,they won't know and your state won't change either

I guess its only them who have some valid reason they think why they do such activities. It is usually common to some neighbors and we cannot choose the people we want around us.
We just have to understand and be patient about them and if you can be friends with them, then partly your questions will be answered.
At the same time, your messages of views be delivered.
It is just a matter of give and take relationship. We just have to consider that we do not know their backgrounds at all, maybe an idea of knowing them would be quite enough.

It happens sometimes in a year. Are they doing it daily? If so, you can complain to the nearest police station for the noise pollution they have caused. Although there is no law saying you should reduce the tv or music volume, there is nothing else you could do.
The best way is to deal it legally. Try to talk to them when you are in good mood, dont take this as an oppurtunity to pull a fight :-(

You're not alone buddy. I experience the same too. Our new neighbor here (they are like a couple of months old here) creates noise very often. They do play loud music which annoys us a lot. I think they are really noisy and rude from the settlement they've been before they got to our place. They're just so insensitive. I think we'll never be good friends with that family next door.
