Those people work for the government agency, such as policemen; DMV service representatives, etc,,,,, They all have bad attitude toward people who need their services, or simply ask some inquiry questions. The truth is they are public servants, and they got paid from people who pay taxes. Shouldn't they treat our people with a little bit more of respect, instead of those snotty attitude? They aren't no better than anybody. Because they were work for the government agency only. Don't you agree?

I think anyone should treat people they deal with by being polite. Just because one is a government employee does not mean that person should be subservient to them. Are you better then them? A person who is in the public eye should show us an example of how to deal with the public, to be kind and courteous, not because you pay their taxes. (you also pay the taxes of the police officers . I doubt if you had a relative who committed a crime, that you would say "my -- is a nice person, he or she really did not rob the store" or excuse their misdeeds. Also to get a job with the government you have to take a test, not just on your personality. I know. I tried. You have to be perfect in typing , no mistakes, and each mistake means you are disqualified for a particular job. So if you want to be a secretary, you have to make zero typing errors, a steno you can get away with one or two, and down the line. And you also have to be between a certain age, etc. It is not easy. And I am sure the same applies for other branches.

Please don't expect anybody to behave well.... ha ha ha.. They don't. They are just there to sit and sleep. They earn money, and they know they are in a position where nobody can kick them out, so they can take more bribe to do that actual they are supposed to, which they are lazy enough to do. I have noticed this at the electricity board. I saw this man just sitting idle at his table with his hands on the table locking up his fingers, and for a continuous 15 to 20 minutes, he was so good in just sitting idle, and his eyes were just staring at the blank table. I was like, wow, amazing... this man has nothing to do? In my country, the policemen also don't treat civilians with respect. They carry this attitude that they are powerful, and civilians should be scared of them. If they are a policeman, they are bound to be treated with respect, and every shopkeeper should give the patrolling police something for free. I see this greedy, shameless traffic police near a particular eat out. He would eat from that shop for free, regularly, and on top of that, he would bring his friends once in a while and eat over there. So shameless they are. I can understand your problem, but it's with everybody in the Government services. Be it administration, customs, or excise or whatever... They are all the same, it's just the duties are different, but they carry the same attitude and we can do nothing to change this. Just nothing!

I have meet some nasty people in the government service. But I have also meet some who are really good at doing services. But if you ask my opinion about how they should treat people, I believe that they should treat each one with respect and that they should serve the people with the highest standards possible. They should put in mind that it is the public that is providing them their salary out of the taxes that we pay.

I think they should have better manner because they serve the government and for that reason they are a representation of the country they are working for. And aside from that, we pay taxes that pays them for their services.

Most of them in government public agencies do really have that bad attitudes towards the people. I really do not believe in our government because even any in the political sectors from upper and lower house, never tried to solve this problem regarding customer treatment. You are right. WE are the one paying taxes for their salary and this is what the fellow people got. Additional worst to that is these government agencies are making so much money by graft and corrupting other people who need their service . well in fact, it is their responsibility and must have been FREE of CHARGE. That is the real government. This is how blind, deaf and paralyzed our politicians not to know and fix the problem. When they still keep on making good campaigns that "community first"..hmmm..... I wonder what is the "community" his referring to? maybe government community but not the true people community.. IF they will not change their bad behaviors, then Better hire ROBOTS who can be instructed and treat people in respect and right manner. I would rather pay taxes for those robots, than those of government employees who do not know how to respect PEOPLE who in fact gave them work to earn.

Dear clorissal123 i agree with you. They have such attitude because they don't have fear of losing their since their job is secured therefore they behave in such a way. Secondly they do not have feeling of responsibility but they pretend as if they are fulfilling their duty with righteousness. Now the time has come if you find such people simply try to approach the media and take such people to the task.
