Hi Deepa
I celebrate my new year by greeting all my near and dear ones, sending cards and if time permits, going to the temple. The entire day I will be busy by doing such things.

Here in America, most people go out and party on New Year's Eve. I used to do this, but now, I prefer to just sit at home and rest. I will usually watch the events in Time Square on the TV for a while, or I will get online and mess around. Staying up past midnight is pretty routine for me, though, so it is not really a big deal if I stay up to actually watch the ball drop or anything like that. It really just all depends on how tired I happen to be at the time...

Thanks God for another year added to our life, asking for his guidance for the coming year. We celebrate new year having plenty of foods being prepared for my family.God Bless!

I go to temple in the morning and pray God that the year should pass well for all my relatives and friends. Then I will buy sweets for the house and neighbours. I wear new dress on that day, which will keep my mind fresh and happy. I will make payasam at home (liquid sweet) and watch special TV programmes in the TV.
