We are nearing the end of yet another year. Life has been good, life has been not so good and we have lived it all. Mine has been a year of sadness, loss of dear ones, strained friendship. On the other hand, I gotta enjoy some beautiful moments in life with my family. My long pending trip to Dubai came true. I began my own friends' network which has been a hit with my loved ones. I started one dream blog. I am earning more online. My work pressure has increased manifold but I am happy with the accomplishments.
So, all in all, it has been a pretty much yo-yo year. What about you? Did you get to live your dream? Any feather in your cap? Anything that would make this year memorable for you?
Wishing you all a merry X-mas and a wonderful new year.
blessed be.

Thanks for asking because you are one of my friends who would be really happy to know this. The memorable thing is the Company that has been recruiting people in Dubai is not deterred by the recession and they have in fact increased the number of candidates to be recruited through me. I am proud that I have aligned very well with their expectations and cater to them the irresistible candidates. That sure is a feather in my cap and I can see that my company is going to go places in the coming year and thereafter.
I have always dreamed of initiating this consultancy which is giving the right break for the much deserving youngsters. Each and every single person going abroad is so thankful and feels much indebted to me for the placement I have sought out for them. And it gives me immense pleasure to see the gratitude and with welling up tears in their eyes. These emotional moments are really precious to me.
I thank the Lord Almighty for the blessings He is showering on me and I wish you a great Christmas and a wonderful and happy New Year my dear friend.

I am so glad to hear this Bala. Sorry, I couldn't do much about the stuffs you wanted me to except for passing o the details to my brother-in-laws who in turn did their bit, but my wishes have been always with you Bala. Nothing could be more satisfying than to see the youth getting proper jobs and their credibility not going ashtray. I just hope they bring back more wealth to the country.
And my wishes for your HR consultancy. Dream, do and flourish. And guess what, it all takes a good human to do all this and you have a gold heart. I am so proud of you.

Bala, you made me cry now. I think the role of our parents and our upbringing is the most and I want to thank all parents, your mom and mine for the great virtues they have instilled in us. We have been lucky, really we are!

This year has had some memorable moments but some bad ones as well, I haven't been able to find a job in over a years so that's the major down point of the year because I'm in major debt and I really need money for that as well as rent and other bills. I did moved out to California which has been nice minus the fact that I miss my family, I actually moved out here for a job and than come to find out I get here and they turn on their word. That got to me emotionally a lot because I would have just stayed at home in the same jobless situation I was in instead of practically bringing it from one state to another.
I have been working on my own blog and I own my own website with my best friend so we're trying to get that going so we can make some good income from both. I hope next year is a little better than this year but I say that every year and it always isn't that great. Every year my resolution is the same lose some weight and get into better shape but I can never seem to stick with it, I don't have the momentum I need but maybe next year I will, I'm really going to try.
Happy Holidays everyone! and have a Happy New Year!!

Thanks for your response. I can understand from where you are coming. It's a matter of great emotional turmoil when we have to leave your family behind for a job that appears to be promising but getting there to find something different. I just wish you get to meet you family these holidays and enjoy a lot and also plan out something that makes you happy.
You have a wonderful blog, it reflects your fascinations in life. I wish you good luck for your website as well. Coming to reducing weight I think you will get to soon. Do not think about it much. Just eat wise and work out regularly.
Happy Holidays to you and your family as well.

Hello mimpi. I am glad to say that I have had some memorable moments for me this year, but of them all, my most memorable moment is the time when I figured out that I did pass one of the exams that I attended for getting my certificate that I longed for. It is our national Public English Testing System--Band 4, a level for domestic postgraduate. It is the fourth top level just below the top level, Level 5. I am going to take this test next year if I am well prepared with enough time for it. It is very challenging and it is said that one out of ten can pass the exam to get the certificate. It is included in my next year's plan.

hi mimpi if you consider my son being out of work and me having to live in a retirement center because we have no home now memorable yes, dreadfully memorable. and the whole year is just gone and my son is still out of work and I am still here where i still dont want to be as I want a home like everyone else. I am only here because we became homeless. without a job my son could not pay rent so it goes on and on. perhaps this new year will finally see some hope for changes in our own situation.

Hey mimpi! I am so very happy for you my dear friend! I know
how much that trip to Dubai meant to you and I am so glad that
you were finally able to go and enjoy seeing your family! And
I know that life throws us all curveballs all the time which
makes things up and down! I, myself haven't had a very good
year, but am thankful for my health and the health of my Mom.
And I am thankful too that I did get to go to Florida to see
my Mom this year and am planning another visit this Spring
because she is turning 80 in February! I also suffered a loss
of a very dear friend just a few weeks ago, before Thanksgiving.
So this year has been quite bittersweet. And while this year
is ending on a bad note, I'm afraid the New Year is going to
start off with problems overlapping into it! But, I am planning
to make the New Year the best that I can no matter what! So
I am also wishing you a Wonderful Christmas and the Happiest
New Year! And may you also be blessed! Hugs, Leslie

I would certainly not forget the date when I knew I passed the board exams. It made me feel like all those sleepless nights spent for studying are worth the headache when I wake up.

Hi. There are four memorable things which have happened to me and my family in 2009. In January-February, I traveled to Los Angeles for the 2nd time and to New York and New Jersey for the very first time. In April, my husband became a lawyer as the bar examination results and he successfully passed it. In September, I have ended my 7-year career with an audit firm here in the country. In December, I have registered and opened a service company related to my profession.

I've had great moments at the start of this year and I started my new year in Nepal and it was wonderfully amazing. That's where I watched Slumdog Millionaire on a Pirated DVD... ha ha.. Shame on me. Then, I visited the great Gompa where the movie "Little Buddha" was shot, and it's a great place to visit. It's very very beautiful.
Then later on, I travelled with my girlfriend to all the main temples of South India starting from Tirupathi and ending at Guruvayur, and finally we travelled all summer in the Himalayas.... Was one more amazing experience.
These are things which make this year memorable, while I had some bitter moments in the latter part of the year, which I would like to forget. And, of course hopefully I would be starting a new year again with my girlfriend and me travelling around a bit together and having a nice time. And I pray the new year really goes well, with more good experiences, even though bad experiences are a lesson to learn and move on.

Hi, Mimpi1911, this a really nice topic for disussion. My year was mostly a bad year, because I lost some dear friends of mine and I had some really bad things happen to me, however I always try to list the good things that happened when New Year's coming. It makes me start the new year with more positive thinking than if I was considering only the bad moments. SO, in my "+" list are : I got promoted at work and I am on the final stage of my university education. I had the chance to travel here and there in my country and I really saw some amazing things.

Getting promoted in workplace and getting to reach the final stage of university are great things and traveling adds to the fun of it. Good luck and have a great year ahead.

I was able to live and work abroad for eight months. Though it was short lived I was happy to have the experienced working and traveling to Canada. The most important part aside from earning is gaining new friends, they wer all true and I consider them as my second family while working away from home. Year 2009 is indeed a good year for me despite of the difficulties I have encountered. A big thanks to God for letting me surpass all the hardships. Now I welcome 2010 and I hope for the best.
