I have never denied a friend request , but I am seriously thinking about giving some of my so called fiends the boot. I actually started a similar post about it. The rason is similar to yours, that they don't reply to any of my posts or to my answers int heir posts. The whole point in having friends here (to me at least ) is to help each other out.
I am also wondering about the people who have a high number of friends. How do they manage to check through all their friends posts and reply?

I knw what you mean. I only have 11 friends, and it takes me quite awhile to answer their posts. I'm going to be removing some of them today. I just kind of felt bad about removing them at first, but then I realized with over 100 friends they probably wont even notice.

Sorry to double post but I just went to delete some of my friends list and one person had over 1000 friends and the other 700. Now I definitely don't feel bad anymore. There is no way on the earth you could keep up with that many even if you were online all day long.

yeah... I did deny a few because sometimes they know you're always on and want you to help them and they say they will help you but they don't even do as they say.

i approve all friend requests i get. funny is, i don't even 'hear' from most of them after that - they don't post to my discussions, they don't pm, it just ends right after i approve their request, LOL! so i get it that they want me to post in their discussions but they won't return the deed.

i know, but they don't even answer any of my discussions, whew! it's like just adding me so they'd get me to anser their posts. well, i'm ok with that coz i always look at my buddy's started discussions first before going to the main page anyway. but i do play favorites, hehe.

I haven't denied any yet, however some that i have accepted i am beginning to wonder about. Especially this one guy who likes to run around naked, lmao (wink, wink). No seriously, so far no problems.

i have done this as well, giving me one word answers or simply saying thank-you doesnt help me much, i try to take my time and come up with interesting, fun or informative discussions (except some of my first ones when i hadnt read guidelines and wasnt really sure of how everything worked) now that i have gotten more used to it i look forward to those responses from people who take the time to add to the discussion because even though were here to make a buck or two nobodys going to stick around for even a few days if all they ever hear back is yes, no or thanks. i have written when i see by their numbers that someones very new and tell them to read the guidelines so they can start getting as much as possible out of using this site. +

I havn't denied a friend request because all the people who have requested were cool. I don't want to have more than 10 friends because then i wouldn't be able to respond to all their discussions. If i get 10, then i will start denying new requests so i don't get more.

it is hard to keep up with all your friends...thats why I have the amount I have...I kept them because they all have reasonably good posts and comments.

Yes, I deny requests from people how already have hundreds of friends in their network. There is no way they are after anything but easy responses to their discussions. I also deny those who repeatedly ask yes/no questions or any of those stupid questions asking for one word reply.
I'm having problems with deleting friends from my list so I still have a few that I accepted before I started checking them out first. I'm not going to add many more because I like to be able to follow up on my friends discussions and there are limits to how many I can keep up with.
I noticed yesterday that I got so many requests from new members with 0 points. I couldn't help but wonder if those were members who had been banned and started up with a new nick.

have u ever gone through your freinds and looked to see if they actually converse and not just asked questions for pennies?

Honestly, I deny them frequently. I want friends that I can respond to and can respond back to me. I am not in this for popularity. I am in it to enjoy myself. And if I approve every friend request, then I would be cheating myself and the friends that I do have.
However, I do not deny them right away. I wait to see if they are active regularly. I look at the quality of their questions. And I look to see if they have posted to any of my discussions that would imply that they are interested in my discussions also.
I really feel bad sometimes when I deny a person. So many times, it will sit there as a request that I have not accepted or denied yet. As it it, I currently have 10 requests and not sure if I should approve them or not. They have not even posted in any of my discussions. So why did they request to be my friend?

I've only denied one. I didn't have a reason to deny them, I just did it. Bad day i guess. But only a few of my mylot friends ever reply to any of my posts. I dont reply to all theres either becase I just dont have anything to say about there qustions. I am thinking about deleting some of my friends too. If you delete someone do they get a message to notifiy them that they were removed? I need to find some more good friends here on mylot.

I dont know if they do...and I dont care...cause I deleted them for a reason...its gettin easy to find friends now...since a bunch of idiots have been booted.

I did the first few people that asked. The only reason was because I wanted a friends list that were actuall friends, not just some name on a list. Now I basically accept anyone that asks. I rarely don't accept unless they seem like they might send me spam or do terriable topics. Even then i accept if I'm in a good mood.

me too. always when got frends request i read or at least scan discussion they posted, so this way i know more or less what somebody thinks. today i did same thing and the reason of denying was that i didnt like the person becoz one discussion of the guy was like: why god gave more brain to boys than girls. it showed how primitive the person was. maybe he just wanted to be schoking. ps. freind from my list dont respond to my discussions anyway.
