Favorite line in Alicia Keys' Empire State of Mind

How has the song of Alicia Keys affected you? I think it means a lot to those in New York, especially after 9/11. But despite that, that I guess it is a song for everyone, regardless of where you're located at. I was checking out Facebook when I saw my sister post this song by Alicia Keys. It is entitled " Empire State of Mind". My favorite line in the song is "If I could make it here, I could make it anywhere. Even if it ain't all it seems, I got a pocketful of dreams".Beautiful song. It has moved me to tears.
Though I am not from New York, I would like to tell you that it is in my top 3 list of places to visit in the near future. And Alicia Keys singing this song makes it even more surreal. I love the way she sang the song. It is very beautiful and inspiring. Keep on making beautiful music and inspiring people, Alicia Keys. You are awesome.

I love this song! i will make it as my New Year's day theme song. The JayZ-Alicia keys collaboration mixed very well. With JayZ's rapping skills and Alicia Keys beautiful voice, makes this song a hit. I remember posting it too on my facebook wall, when one morning i wake up with this song running through my head. It is very catchy (not the JayZ part) and it is very inspiring. A great way to start the New Year inspired and motivated. We dont have to be in New York, we could be anywhere. Change the word New York and replace it with your hometown. Thats what i did!

It is a nice song. I haven't thought about the lyrics as much as you, apparently, but I do like the same line you do.
New York is also in my top 3 list of places which I would like to visit and I am really curious how people from New York persieve this song. If I like hearing about a city I've never been, then, I guess the people from this city chould also love the song
