I know the guy is a talented wrestler, but there was a time that wrestlers had to pay their dues to the business in order to win such attention in the wrestling world. Do you think Sheamus deserves the title?

hi timmons.
i understand where you are coming from and i do agree. wrestlers need to pay their dues and sort of climb the ladder until they get a legit title shot. however, please remember that the tournament that jesse ventura had in mind was for wrestlers who never had a title shot before. sheamus was a one of them and he was lucky to win the over the top battle royal. i was surprised that he did win the match against cena but i really can't complain since i'm tired of seeing cena with the title. i think cena, hhh, hbk, and orton should step aside and let the younger wrestlers get the limelight. wwe should seriously start building up new talent in my opinion. not saying that cena, hhh, hbk, and orton are past their prime, just saying that it can be tiring seeing the same names headlining the ppvs. there are a lot of untapped talent in the wwe roster and wwe creative shoudl make the mos tof these wrestlers.
as for sheamus being the champion, i like to see him in title matches against those he competed it at the battle royal. i know kofi kingston and orton is feuding but a triple threat match between the three should be interesting to say the least.
just my thoughts.
cheers!!!

I agree with you that the new talent needs to be pushed harder and the veterans need to be toned down a bit. I am not a fan of John Cena at all and I too am tired of seeing him hold the title, but I think there are plenty of wrestlers who have worked hard for a lot of years who deserve a title more than a roookie like Sheamus. Now Cena claims that he will not lose a match until he regains the belt, that means boring tv if you ask me. Whats the point of watching every week if you know for a fact that Cena will win his matches? thats a bad move if you ask me.

i understand what you mean timmons.
wwe creative is in love with john cena. i kinda miss the time when cena was a heel and he was slugging it out with the late eddie guerrero and the big show among others.
anyway, who are the wrestlers that you have in mind timmons? i want to hear your thoughts.
cheers!!!

Ok then I'll be the bad guy and say that it was time for a surprise in WWE and Sheamus could become a very good wrestler. Let's not forget that Orton won the title while he was very young and he became a great wrestler, so maybe it's necessary to give someone the joy to have the title belt in hands so he can become a good wrestler. On the other hand I'm really sick and tired of Cena and DX. I think that if I'm going to see them in PPV's all the time it will be too much for me. Cena doesn't have anything new since at least 3 years. Dx are becoming really boring with their act and the fact that they win almost all the time. So please, please don't put them in main events any more WWE.

This is something new that WWE has come up with like a storyline as we have not seen in a while now that a guy entering the WWE world and getting to the WWE championship match within just four months. I think he doesn't deserve the championship after all the disrespect he has shown to many wwe superstars and that he should have been first into matches with big guys like Kane or Triple H to see his potential and then should have been given a chance at the WWe title. Anyways, now we will have to wait and see what carnage he makes since he is now the current champ!!

As much as I like Shemus I don't think he actually deserves the wwe championship. He's only been with the company for about 4 months now and really hasnt had any big feuds or matches till he faced cena at Tables Ladders and Chairs. I think he needed to face a few big faces on Raw before at least even getting a shot at the wwe title. But I do think he will loose it next week on raw when he faces Cena for the wWE title.

I don't agree so much with paying your dues as the fact that the guy needed to be able to get some heat on him before he got the title. Really no one cares about the guy. He's not hated at all, he's a horrible heel, and no one cares unless he mentions Cena. His match up against HHH should completely fall flat too if it happens. The guy is pretty screwed due to rushing the title onto him.
