...Hi there joye68, Sounds like a happy family to me. You make me think of Bob Barker previously on the Price is Right, remember to get your pets spaded or neutered, he used to say, Drew Carey took over and says the same thing. How did you select the name Kong for one of your pets? Sounds like there might be an interesting story. Take care. Thanks for your response. Happy holidays.

Hi artistry, I don't really do well with animals as they unnerve me but neverthless we have a household pet which we're very fond of. Harold lives under the spiral staircase, never moves fast and looks after himself. He does a superb job of feeding himself on mosquitos and flying ants which he catches in his web. I have no idea what happened to his friend Henrietta but perchance a geko ate her as we definitely didn't stand on her.

...Hi thea, We are fooling around at the same hour, what is the time over there now. I am a night owl and these are the hours I usually keep. It is 2:58 a.m. here.
Thanks for sharing, now you have to tell me, as Harold sounds like a good pet, what kind of animal is he? I like the flying ants, Harold has quick reflexes aswell. Take it easy. Remember let me know the time, I used to know the difference but I have forgotten. Thanks.

I thought his web would have been a giveaway, Harold is a spider.
So you're up late. Here it's nearly 11am and I have things to do - which involve water which I still don't have. I need to go out but keep thinking they could fix the water at any time then I can at least shower before facing the village.

..Hi, hi, That's funny, I read so fast I missed the web totally, a pet spider named
Harold, I can see a children's book here somewhere. Thanks for letting me know the time. I am going to bed soon, getting weary. So have a good day, hope the water situation clears up. that's more than a pain. Take care.

I love dogs and would love to have one as a pet but right now, I can't afford to take care of one since vet bills, shots and dog food is expensive. For now, it's just me and my roommate's goldfish who I help feed.

...Hi there animegirl334, I have two sisters who have dogs as pets and they love them to pieces. It's funny, because when I am on the telephone with either of them, their dogs make all kind of noises trying to get their attention. They want them to get off the telephone and play with them. They are like children. It is expensive, I think the shots have to be given every year. I love fish, at one time I had a beautiful fish tank with multi-colored fish, I would lie on the carpet in my apartment and stare at them swimming. It was peaceful to watch, very calming. One day you may own a dog, write down what you might name the dog, it will probably become a reality. The money you need to take care of the dog will be there as well. Take care.

I have two dogs right now and I love them very much. They are good boys and love their mommy and daddy and are always trying to please us and keep us happy! : )
Growing up we had dogs, fish, turtles, rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils, and other pets as well. That was kind of crazy so I prefer to just have a few pets at a time at the most. I would love to be able to care for more pets who needs homes, but I don't have the money and love to give my pets lots of attention, otherwise it's not fair to own them.

...Hi there Bethany1202, Happy 2010, the best to you and your family. My one sister
has two dogs, the other has one. The one sister whohas one dog lost her other loving dog about two years ago, I saying loving because he was almost like a human being. When her husband passed away, she was sitting on the couch crying and Blue, that was his name, came over to the couch and put one leg on one side of her and the other leg on the other side and lay his head in her lap. He wanted to make it better. Animals, I think are special, and they should be loved as they love us.
You had a very interesting set of pets as you grew up, must have been a fun house. Thanks for your response. Take care.

I have a rooster and a dog although I had more pets earlier. My garden is so designed that I have countless birds that have made their home here with a birdbath for them to bathe, enough fruit trees to chirp around and so I do not need to have birds as such.

...Hi there allknowing, Love the rooster, as I was born on a farm, reminds me of home a bit :o). If the birds did not bother the fruit tress it would be excellent indeed, but they probably do what's natural snd try to eat as much as they can. Maybe not. Your garden sounds beautiful as I think I mentioned before. The bird bath is a very nice touch. Take good care. Thanks for your response.

I have a 4 year old "puppy" as a pet. My dog is a Lhasa Apso and we named him Peppie. He fits his name. He is the most loveable, friendly, and intelligent dog I have ever had. I got him when he was 4 weeeks old, 4lbs. 8ozs. and now he is 4 years old and 22lbs. He is white with some tan in his ears. We love our pets because they bring a lot of joy and fun into our lives. At least mine does. He is a lot of fun to have around. I'll end with saying Peppie is a Perfect Pup.

.....Hi LhasaJK7, Welcome to the ranch, enjoy, it's a nice place to hang out. I used to have a stuffed Lhasa Apson, which I loved, but gave to my young neice. The real dogs are beautiful. Pets give you unconditional love, my cat used to run to me when I would come home. I loved my little cat. Your dog sounds lovely. They do bring joy into your life. Glad that you have Peppie. Take care, thanks for your response.

I have a dog, Lucy; a cat, Banjo, and 3 goats, Pickles, Tulip and Barley.
Lucy was a rescue and she is a lovely, black, shiny dog who loves to eat and play...she's a bit kelpie and a few other things...not very clever but a great watch dog and companion with absolutely no agression (unless someone tries to take her food...she often went hungry as a pup). Banjo is grey and cream and very soft. He is simply my beautiful boy, giver of joy.
Pickles came to me as a baby and is white with some caramel coloured blotches and long horns that curl out to the side...he is the boss of the goats...very playful and quite pushy at times. I rescued Tulip when she was abandoned by her owner. She had been attacked by a pack of dogs and has a broken leg that healed bent backwards, a droopy ear and her tail was also damaged and also droops. She is brown and black and her horns curve to the back. She is my darling little sweety girl. Barley was also rescued from a yard where he had been abandoned. He is a greyish white colour and his horns also curve backwards. No-one was feeding him when there was nothing for him to graze on and he was rarely given water...goats love fresh, clean water. They are also a herd animal and need to be with other goats. Pickles is very mean to him sometimes and he has only been with me a few weeks but he has settled in well. He always steals Tulip's food.
I find animals funny, cute and interesting and I hate the thought of cruelty towards any animal...there is way too much of that happening I'm afraid.

...Hi Ms Tickle, What an interesting post to read. Your group of animals are neat. They all have different personalities and seem to be such a comfort and much fun for you to have around. I feel as you, animals look to humans to care for them not to abuse them, they have a lot of love to give, they only want the same to come back to them. You are great to take them in and care for them. Thanks so much for sharing with us. You have a very big heart, good luck to you with all your little
ones. Take care.

Well, I have two american pitbulls, one is 7 years old and the other is 3. The seven year old's name is Thor and he weighs 89lbs. Thor is one of the largest pits in the county I live in and is quite rare. He is what they call a Rednose Brendal pit. THen, I have Oreo, who is three, and the most well mannered dog I have ever seen. She is black and white and is an american pit. She is taking care of our 8 week old puppy whom is not even from her litter. Oreo nursed the pup until it was old enouph to start eating solid food, and is now teaching her to fight, play, and show love. The pups name is Winter, as she is all white. I love my dogs because they are more than man's best friend, they are protectors of my children and are a huge part of our family.

..Hi there ladymetal80, Welcome to the ranch, enjoy yourself, it's fun here. Well you are puttimg a different light on the sterotype about pitbulls not being animals who you can have as pets. This sounds like they are gentle like poodles, that is quite amazing. I would guess it's how they are raised, good for you. Take care and thanks for your response.

...Hi gekkeaap1, Well now, you appear to be a real lover of animals, which is nice. Do your dogs and your cats get along without too many fights between them? The turtle should be fine in a glass cage I am sure. I am always fascinated when someone has a guinea pig, are they good pets? Seems like they would be gentle little things, but I don't know? Thanks for taking the time to reply. Take care.
