any 4 month olds have a cough that wont go away?

My son is almost 5months old and he has a cough that wont go away. His pediatrician keeps saying there is nothing they can do for him until he is six months old. Does anyone have any advice on how to help make my little one a little more comfortable. i am doing vapor baths and running a humidifier, but i don't know what else to do or why his little cough wont go away.

..hi lovely.. that's already out of your control.. Personally, I would seek for a second opinion.. there are some medicines now that can be use to cure cough.. it will be more difficult if your son's phlegm won't be remove.. they will accumulate in his lungs that could lead to another problem.. just continue what you are doing.. and don't let your son be catch with colds..

Thanks, i am doing everything possible at this point. his cough has gotten a little better so im happy about that. I was worried about his cough turning into something more serioius. Im glad it hasnt.
