What Your Religion told about Women?

Hello All,There are so many religions in this world that even you spend all your life to know all still you will die before getting the information about all religions. My questions is that What your religion told about women? how to treat them and whats their right and are you find any difference in how followers handle the women? and if someone has no religion then where he/she can get the all right of women? from any other religion or made by self?

in mine, women are revered as the source of life.
I have a Goddess as well as a God, and from them life force is created.
like the Goddess is sometimes referred to as "first among equals" over the God, so woman is to man.
while man and woman are equal, she holds the powers of creation inside herself, more so than he does. but without him she can't create life. so they are equals.

Different religions gives different version about the role of women. Some religion preaches equal status for women. Some religion discriminating them as the slaves of men. Any way they are also the creatures of god like men. So they are equal to men. We should not see what the religion says about the women, we should love them and give equal status. Let us follow all positive teachings in the Holy Books and ignore all the negative ones.
