Will SBI debit card be accepted by Paypal for verification?

Dear members who are from India, I want to verify my paypal account. I am about to obtain the debit card from my State Bank of India savings Bank account.But I am not sure about the acceptance of this debit card by Paypal.Have any of your attached the debit card issued by the SBI?Will it be accepted by paypal ?Or from which bank , I need to obtain the debit card( I am not interested in credit cards)so that that can be used for Paypal verification? Please let me know as my paypal account is about to hit the limit soon

The best way to know is to try. I know most credit and debit cards can be accepted in paypal.

Not all the debits cards are not accepted by Paypal and the debits cards should be enabled by VbV ( verified by visa). I have some other debit card with the visa logo on it. But the cards in not accepted by paypal as the card is not VbV enabled one.As I tried as like you told, now I am having three debit cards issued by three banks and none of then got accepted by Paypal.That's why I started this discussion to know about the exact debit card that is accepted by Paypal.Thanks of your participation in this discussion.

Hi Wordlinx! I had the same problem as I didn't have any credit cards. I used a friend's credic card to verify my account. SBI Debit card is not accepted since it is not having VISA or Mastercard Logo. You just get SBI Yuva Card. It is for anyone who is under 30 years old. SBI is offering this special card. You can apply for it and get it. Then you can verify without any problem. I know many people have verified their paypal account using SBI Yuva Card. Happy Mylotting!

After seeing your response, I made a search in the net to know about the Yuva cards issued by the SBI..It seems that this is the very good opportunity to the students.But unfortunately, I am over 30 years and the Youva cards are issued only to those who are under 30 as you have mentioned and hence I can not obtain the above Yuva card. It is unfortunate that Paypal is not accepting the SBI card also for the verification process. Then I need to go for some other Bank account.My paypal account is about to reach the maximum with drwal limit very soon. Before that I should verify it so that my account is not blocked by Paypal.Thanks for your response to this discussion.

NO... only american debit card accepted by Paypal. but if you want Debit/Kredit card accept by Paypal, use this link to get approved. https://www.okpay.com/?rbp=approved .
