Yesterday my friend called me from other city, we just talked a little time , she said, let's talk on internet. So I open my computer and talked with her on internet. She traveled to other city and she said she can share more beautiful photoes when we talk on internet. Do you like talk with your friends on internet of telepone?

I like both, but I much prefer on the net just like you.In the net, we can use a webcam so that I can see her reaction, she can also share documents or pictures there or some link there and I can see it in an instant. When internet is down we can still talk on the phone. But I don't talk much on the phone. I like texting than talking, because whenever I have someone to talk on the phone I know my parents overhear me , I know they are eavesdrooping. It invaded my privacy, LOl. I just prefer to send a message than talking.

i prefer the internet because basically everything can be done on it.you can voice call, view each other's cam send files, use emoticons and checkout the internet if you have to (ex. looking at someone's facebook profile if you are talking about him/her. lol)

Hi Kevin
Hmmmm, I would prefer speaking in telephone rather than in internet ( e-mail chat ). Its because, in e-mail chat, we don't get to know the real emotions of our friend. Even it they need our help it cant be easily understood causing confusions and worry. In telephonic chat atleast we could understand to some extent using our friend's emotions. So I would prefer telephonic conversation to e-mail chat over the net.

I used to chat with people sometimes over the internet when I had a microphone. I HATE talking on the phone so I really didnt like talking with a microphone on my computer either. I always feel shy and cant think of things to say. When I chat I like to chat online on aol or facebook but I dont talk to them we just type back and forth. When people call me I usually try to get off the phone as quick as I can so I dont have to keep talking on the phone. I know that probably makes me pretty odd but its the way I am.

I love to talk with my friend and family on internet. Last time when my mother don't know how to use the computer, we always talk on telephone for hours, but now she still don't know how to use it but with my sister beside her, as my sister got laptop, so I upload lot of my daughther's photo, she love to see, so she ask my sister to open the laptop and take her on internet to see her grandchild's photo, she miss her a lot. Internet is the best way to connect friends and family from different place closely.

I have a German friend with whom I often talk to in the internet, through chat, that is. As much as I want to talk to him in person, there's no other way but to keep our communication open by the use of internet since telephone calls are really costly.
We spent time chatting that sometimes in could last until the wee hour. We have a different time zone and even if he is working it is still possible to chat with him since night time in his country is almost midnight here in my country.
Have a Merry Christmas, Kevin.:-)

I prefer the Internet, the only person I really talk to on the phone is my mom because she lives in another state and doesn't have a computer. I use to love to talk with my friends through text messages when I had a cell phone, it was a Sidekick and their really easy to type on because it's a full keyboard. I've never been a huge fan of the phone except when I was in late elementary school and middle school because that's just how I mainly talked to my friends, I didn't have a computer until a couple years later.
Sometimes the Internet is easier because you can send photos, have a buddy chat with others and share online information. Sure, you can share information over the phone but it's different.

I'd like to talk to people esp. with my friends in personal. But if we're apart, I'd rather choose telephone.

I like talking with my friends, whether on my mobile phone, our telephone or chatting on the Internet. Communication is very important to me. It's fun to chat on the Internet and exchange photos and look at each other on the webcam. But nothing beats talking on the phone, whether on mobile or landline. It's good to hear a friend's voice, to hear a friend's laughter or soothing words when empathizing. Communication is the key in order for friends not to drift apart.

Mainly on the internet, because it's a lot easier for me to convey thoughts online than it is on the phone. Most of the time, on the phone, I choke up easily or mess up my sentences compared to talking online. I only need to use the telephone for business or my mom when it's something important. Something along those lines.

Isnt it just crazy that we have this option this day and age? My son who is 14 now, was all bummed since he didnt get a cell phone yet. Mostly all of his friends have one. But I actually didnt get one until I was in my early 20's. I So even to hear the word Telephone is different to me. Usually people say "cell".
To answer your specific question it depends on who I am talking to. And it also depends on when it is. I have a pretty noisy house. So to talk on the internet its so much easier to just chat back and forth and come back after doing whatever I need to get done.
But I have my certain friends that I like to talk to over the phone, when I am not in the house or busy doing anything.

haha...that's really a good way to chat with friends. in fact, i always do it. it also can help save some telephone fees. and when use the mac on the computer, which is more convenient than the phone, we also can use the cam at the same time.

Hi kevinll: when there was no internet I used to talk a lot on the phone with my friends. But now that we have yahoo messenger, skype etc. I prefer to chat on the internet; for one thing it keeps my phone bills down and I can also see them, exchange photos and files like you said and also feel more at ease. Have a nice day.

i prefer talking to a friend thru the internet besides the thought that i could view him via webcam. i could easily give him informations that i cannot provide him by just talking on the phone
