that was so bad, one little boy dropped my phone in the soup, and his mother picked it up, and cleaned with paper. i didnt know all of these, because then i was away. when i got the cellphone, it broke, no matter how i press any button, there was no use. just now, my brother told me, if we unfolded it and used the Hairdryers to blow it after picking it up yesterday evening, maybe it had been recovered again. so now, i have to buy another new one. then i just told them, it was almost boken and mattered nothing, to ease them. so, did u ever broke any cellphone, and how did u broke it?

Hm.. Being a clumsy person, I have physically broke my phone (many times) when I send it falling down to the floor. Although it was "tore" apart due to the impact, when I assembled it back, it was still in working condition. Thus, now I keep making sure that my phone is in my bag instead of my pocket! LOL

yes, i do think it's safer in the bag than in the pocket. too much person broke their cellphone when the cellphones in the pocket, such as drop on the floor and crushed by car, washed without taken out, ...

yes! in the past I always had my phone in my pocket in order to hear/answer my calls. But I realized the frequency of me dropping it on the floor was very frequent. Thus, I kept it in my bag instead. And also, now I can wear any bottoms without pockets (it was a must have thing in the past)

I carelessly left my handphone in my pocket and bring my pants to laundry.Unaware about what i have done,my handphone spoiled because it was being washed in a washing machine. Then we i discover it,the screen have spoiled although the system seem unaffected(i can still call but can't see anything from the screen)

Before I share my experience, let me give you some advice. If you ever have your cellphone drown into liquid. Quikcly turn it off, dismantle all the housing, and then let it dry first. Don't use a hairdryer as the hot wind blow from a hairdryer tend to damage the component. Use a silica gell instead. Look for a jar, put your cellphone component there and put a silica gell and then shut it tight. Let it be for 24-48 hours until all the liquid dried by the gell. Alternatively, you can use a bowl of rice to replace the silica gell. But be aware not to cook the rice while you dried your phone there :p I have broke several cellphone now and then. My first cellphone broke after it got crushed by a truck *sigh* Other cell phone broke because I accidentaly make a mistake during flashing the phone. Other phone was drowned on the sink when I wash the dishes. LoL. Looks like I am a phone breaker, eh?

Yes, I did once. It was a Chinese brand cellphone, very slim. I put it in my pants pocket and rode bike. When I pick it out, I found it was bend. When I try to switch on, the screen became entirely white. That's how I ruined my phone. Lucky enough, I never dropped my phone into soup or water. But people say, when the old is gone, the new will come. So, don't worry to much and we just need to say byebye to the old thing and be ready to welcome the new one.

hi, fsll518, u must have gotten experience to protect ur cellphone carefully now? i heard of that most people, putting their cellphones in the pockets, lost their cellphones in the toilet bowl when they went to the WC, , be careful next time if u still put ur cellphone in ur pocket.

hi, joannaleed, dont worry, maybe u can get some cellphone for free. i dont know if there is such a chance to get one in ur country. here in china, u can get a cellphone for free if u pre-store certain telephone fare. but in fact, i dont get one, because i have another cellphone that i bought last year while i seldom used it until now. but now, i can use it.

i have 2cp before and they accidentally dropped in a pail of water when i was about to go out of the toilet. i immediately picked them up and wiped both. thinking that its done dry, i turned ON the first one and got no display. that made me decide not to use the 2nd one and let it dry for the whole day which i was able to save and use until now. but the other one, its parting time

It happens sometimes. With me it happened when my younger sister was talking disrespectfully with me and mother warned her to stop talking in such a way but still she continued and I warned her that I will break her cell-phone if she will speak one word, then she still continued and in anger I was just trying to scare her by throwing the cell-phone on the bed but unfortunately cell banged on the border of the bed and throw was so fast that it was divided into 7-8 pieces. Then my mother shouted me, but I myself managed to connect those pieces and I am now using that cell-phone. Mother even scolded my sister for that. Well still we should control our anger and try to be calm as possible.

that's really an accident. i wont throw things no matter how angry i am. to throw things and borke them, that's really a great waste thing.

i jumped into the lake, and i forgot i had my cellphone in my pocket. duhh. haha! i actually read somewhere that if ever you wet your phone, you shouldn't try to open it because it haywires the battery causing it to short-circuit. what you should do is leave it as is. and place it in a bag of rice for 2-s days. the moisture will be sucked out by the rice. this was already done by my officemate and his cellphone works perfectly.

I broke my cellphone by leaving it out on my desk. How? My dog thought it was a chew toy when he heard it beep. I later found it hidden under his bed. Surprisingly, IT STILL WORKED!!....even though it was in half. It was being held together by its wires.

I haven't broken one, but my neice messed hers up. It dropped out of her pocket and into the commode. They tried drying it out and it tried to work for about a day and that was it. They had to replace it.

22 Dec 09
i heard of that lots of people lost their cellphones into the commode. so now i seldom take my cellphone when i need to the washing room, . and i also found that almost all the cellphones were non-waterproof.

I never broke any of my mobile phones, but my friend broke one. She had the habit of throwing things when she gets angry. She broke many things at home, when we stayed together. Once she was angry while talking over phoneto a friend and throw her mobile phone to the floor and broke it. A truck drove over one of my other room mate's phone, but it worked after the incident. It was a Mortorola phone. She was highly impressed of the company becuase of the incident and got the same phone, the next time, but she was disappointed of the service.

Years ago I was sitting in burgur king with George. We were having a late night dinner seeing as how I got off of work real late and needed to eat. I had my soda sitting on the edge of the counter and my purse in the booth beside me. Needless to say my cell phone was sitting in said purse partly exposed. Soda falls over, drenches my purse and drowns my phone. It broke after that. I wanted to twitch as a result, but somehow, by the grace of I don't know what, managed not to get much more damage done then that. I of course had to replace the phone. I needed a new one anyway.

seems that gives u the chance to get a new one. but i dont go to buy a new one, only use another nokia cellphone, which i bought last year, while seldom used it until now.

Hi Yolanda, I never broke any cellphone. My cellphone fell many times, but luckily not broken. My son ever broke my cellphone once. My Cellphone couldn't start/on. I've tried replacing the battery with a new one but still could not get on. Repairing cost was very expensive compared to buying new one. So there's nothing I can do other than keep it and buy a new one. Oh oh oh
• China
22 Dec 09
that's really a strange phenomenon, to repair is more experience than buying a new one. well, it's also good, can use a new cellphone.
