Maybe, for new users especially in net surfing,we accidentally enter a site that hosts viruses.when i tried that, I really got panic its because our computer before has no antivirus. I immediately downloaded antivirus softwares from the net and gosh!thank god my laptop is saved.
how about you?what's your experience?

Hi!!
Yeah 2 years back I faced the problems with viruses in my PC but via a pen drive and not through Internet sites.I got my pen drive from a friend who was using it for some work on his PC and when I plugged it in my USB port,my anti-virus didn't detect the viruses in the pen drive as they were to strong for the anti-virus.I didn't had problems then but when I turned my computer off and again started it after some time it refused to boot up.So I formatted my PC and though that the problem would be gone by now so I just started opening up the drives in my PC but then I realized that I couldn't see my hidden files and inspite of making changes in the folder options, the folders just refused to show up.Ultimately I had to format the entire hard disk to get rid of the deadly virus that infected it and from then till now I have had no problems with my PC as m using a good anti-virus and make it a point to scan the pen drives :).

what do you mean pen-drives?USBs?
USB really is one of the ports of a virus to spread whole throughout different computers. If the virus came from the per drives, did your friend know that there are viruses in there or your friend don't have antivirus? me, before i open USBs, I scan them. What antivirus software are you using? May i know it?me, I have the AVIRA Personal Antivirus and AVAST! Antivirus

You don't know what is pen drive or an USB port :O.I too scan my or my friend's pen drives whenever I plug them into my PC but that time I didn't do so and also my anti-virus wasn't updated that time as I didn't had Internet connection at my place.I currently use Avira Freeware anti-virus and before it I was using NOD 32 anti-virus,both are equally good and I was happy with both of their performance.

hi,
I understand it is great to have antivirus software on your system. Previously i too had to face lot of problems due to virus when i was using anti virus software which was not original. But not i feel good as i am using original antivirus software which can be updated regularly.

I had these problems when I was new to computers, when I dint know much about computers or softwares. I use to format my harddisk and re-install windows a lot.
Then after a lot of installations, I got fed up, and went throught the websites, what the best I can do.
Used a lot of anti-viruses till now. But the one am using now, is very good. So I dont get such problems now.
But sure there are sites, which may be more alluring but much prone to virus attack.
