Is there any unfulfilled prophecies in the Bible? (I use Bible NIV online version).
1) Genesis 4:12 "....you will be a restless WANDERER on Earth" but a few verses later in the Bible, Genesis 4:17 "..Cain was then building a city..." Unfulfilled prophecies?
2) Read Jeremiah 36:30 it says that "Jehoiakim the king of Judah: He will no one to sit on the throne of David..." while in II Kings 24:6 "Jehoiakim rested with his fathers, and Jehoiachin his son succeeded him as king". Unfulfilled prophecies?
3)In Ezekiel 26, it is said that Nebuchadnezzar destroyed Tyre, we already know is is Alexander The Great that destroyed Tyre...unfulfilled prophecies?
4)Isaiah 7:14 "The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel"...no where in the Bible is Jesus Christ is called as Immanuel..who is it? Is it another unfulfilled prophecies again?
Can anybody explain it? I just want to know the truth behind those verses....

Thank you Zaharul94 for sending me a PM about this. It was hard to keep track of things yesterday during the MyLot double pay frenzy. For me, though, I want to reach a rank of 500 so I can use a bit of copy and paste when needed. Like, in answering this post, it would help to show you from the Hebrew what is being said in some of these verses. But, for now, I will type. :-)
Ok, on item 1, the actual Hebrew is quite broad, and can mean "built a lookout." Reference - Wilson's OT Word Studies.
Item 2, again, looking the Hebrew, "sit" can mean remain, and Jehoiachin did not remain, but was removed.
Item 3- Scofield notes Neb. did destroy Tyre which was located at that time on the coast of the Mediterranean. Now, note carefully the change of pronouns, viz, like "he" in verses 8 and 9, however, "they" in verse 12. At the time of Neb., some had escaped to an island and built a new city of Tyre there. So by the providence of God Alexander got those, fulfilling verse 12. So Neb. destroyed the old Tyre, Alexander, the newer one.
Item 4- As you see in Matthew, Matthew records Isaiah's prophecy without hesitation, giving us the meaning of the term..."God with us." Christ is named "Jesus," Yeshua in the Hebrew which really is "Joshua," the meaning of the name being YHWH is salvation. YHWH of course is God, Who saves us by being with us (John 1:14--He "tabernacled" amongst us). Thus, Matthew rightfully states in verse 22 that the Isaiah passage was fulfilled.
Hope this helps.

When (doubting) Thomas said to Jesus "Lord, show us the Father", Jesus replied "have I been so long with you and yet you do not know me Thomas?" - that's one for instance..
blessings!

The First - Gen 4:12
The Prophecy was fulfilled in verse 16.
the Word wanderer is Vagabond in KJV also the same root word of Nod the land that Cain Flew to. a restless (Nuwd) in Hebrew which means to wander or flee, to console deplore, or taunt.
The prophecy although in english Vagabond means wanderer like to not settle. does not have the same meaning in Hebrew.
He Flew from Eden fulfilling the prophecy.

Thanks for posting that. I understand that some of the prophecies in the Bible are symbolical and to be interpreted in literal. To understand those symbolical prophecies, one needs the help of the Holy Spirit and some intense study of the scripture. If you take it as it is, chances are you will delineate from its purpose. Before you do interpret the prophecies in the Bible, it will be better if you will kneel in prayer and ask God's guidance through the Holy Spirit.
