My mom had started this yearly thing where every christmas eve we put out our list of what we are thankful, for the year. We tend to forget to thank God for a year full of wonderful memories, bad moments or something remarkable that happened to each one of us.
I had a roller coaster ride for this year but despite all that, I still thank God for being there. For keeping me safe as well as my husband and son. There is so much that I want to thank the Lord for but there is no word that I could find to every repay to Him his kindness and mercy.
How about you, what are the things that you are thankful for despite tragedies or moments that you did not like or even if there we're instances that made you feel so down. Do you believe that 2010 will be a better year, a more prosperous year for us?

Hi, Sublime. I am not only thankful for the year 2009, but I am ALWAYS thankful for all the past years.
In our daily night prayers, I thank Him for being always there for everything. He was there to let that tragic incident to happen because He had His reasons. He had always been here for us during the tough times that my three children and I went through. He was always there during the most painful and the saddest times of our life. I know He will always be with us as long as we live. We do not and will never forget to always thank Him in our prayers.
He has given me strength, safety, inner peace, serenity, hope and a new life. All these, I am always grateful to HIM.

Hi, sublime03. I think that next year will be a better year. I am starting now on making next year a much better year for me. I know that it will be more promising than 2009 was. I thank God everyday for being alive. This goes for my family too. I thank God for protecting me in this bad storm that I had to encounter as this year came about. I am thankful that my family is safe and so and I. I am very thankful for any and all the blessings that God has granted for me. I will continue to be thankful even if my world is looking gray.

Well I don't think anything good about 2009 because it was recession and everyone was in troubles. Only thing good for me was taking admissions in MCA and getting few new friends. I don't think anything good happened with me in this year, trying to make it memorable by being employed again in 2009, though very few days left. Still trying to find good job, some partner but I know everything has time and I think my time will come soon. I want to share this too, I was unemployed for the whole year of 2009, I left my first job in Dec 2008, thought that I would get good job later. Other thing that I have never being loved by someone, it makes me feel little lonely these days.
Don't know what will happen in future! Let's hope for the BEST!

I am thankful that I am still alive. We experienced worst Typhoons in our country and the worst of all worst of all, is Typhoon Ondoy which floods Metro Manila. I am thankful that I did not lost my loved ones even my friends and pets were safe. I am thankful that I still have my job, we still have source of money to buy foods and the things we needed. I thank God my family is there for me, my parents are healthy. I am thankful that even there is an economic crisis we are still surviving. I wish 2010 to be one of the lucky year that we anticipate that we should all stand up for the fall that happens to us in the year 2009.

Nice topic...It's a good way to thank the Lord during Christmas...I am thankful for this year because God answered my prayers not only to have a spiritual family but to be more involved with them and have joined bible studies and ministry..that I've experience the growth process in my spiritual life and I know God is already at work in my life and the lives of my family...My sister came to know Jesus more this year, I started to have my own clinic, I've a lot of lessons that I've learned...I've lost my cellphone, I've been paying debts, I've quit a job (AWOL), got stressed from work, betrayed by a friend and a lot more that I could no longer remember...but thank God I've been set free and the old has gone because the new has come (Jesus who lives in me). I believe that this year 2010, God has greater things in store for us...we just have to believe and speak words of faith! have a Joyful Christmas!

Well, this year 2009 will be recovering year of my health. For your information, i had been diagnosis for lymphoma cancer during May 2008 and remission on September 2008. I am glad that i return to God because i am lazy to attend church for years. Everyone, including my family, friend, relatives, unknown person, church friends pray so hard for me. Thank God for saving my life. I hope that i will be fine in following years. I went back to work after rest for nine months and wearing wig at first 2 months when go to work. I plan to go vacation at least once a year and now i'm saving some money first. In addition, i am happy to see my hair growing from bold to shoulder length. The hair is thin but at least the hair grows back. I pray that next year will be better year for me and of course everyone.

I am always grateful that I have two wonderful sons and that I still have my mum, who has just celebrated her 79th birthday. In particular, for 2009, I am grateful that the fall she had did not have more serious consequences and that the MRI scan I had 6months ago was clear... I am hoping that the results of checks I've had more recently will also come back ok. I dont expect the year to be more prosperous for me but, I'll be happy enough if we're all still here and able to be grateful at the end of 2010. Best wishes to you for a better year.

I am thankful for a lot of things. I got married in 2009, and I am thankful that I have met my husband. I love him very much and we are very happy together. I thankful that we had a great party and I thankful that I was able to celebrate the day with my family and my best friends.
I am thankful that we got the chance to visit Latvia and Lithuania. We had a really great time and I will always remember the time we spent in those countries.
I am thankful for the good things that happened this year, but I am also thankful for the bad things because I learned something from those situations.
I am thankful that my family is healthy, and I am thankful that my husband got through the accident without any physical injuries. I am also thankful for my friends and for the interesting people that I have met this year.
