I just got back from a family trip yesterday in Ranau one of Sabah's top vacation spot. it was a short trip but because all my family including grandma, uncles, aunts and cousins were it was very enjoyable. The weather was cool and refreshing, and we took many photos of the mount Kinabalu. I hope this family trip will become an annual activity. So how about you, do you like going on trip with your family or only with friends?

Hi there,
Of course I like family trip ! In my family, we stay very close to each other but still beside family gathering, we have family trips as well. We will have at least a short gateaway every year. We enjoy very much and just this year, we are all back from Bali, Indonesia. We had a great time there. I am happy all of the family members went for the trip.
For me, I prefer to have family trips more than a trip with friend.

Hi there, It is good to have family trip so to get all the family members get more closer and have more time to spend together. It is good to spend the few days all together and have a great time meeting each other. I hope you and your family would have more family trips soon.

I hate family trips and especially when its planned months before. I am telling this because we planned a family trip to Himalayan mountains 3 months before with some family members. Just the day before my grandpa fell ill and we had to cancel everything! A whole lot of expectations were ruined

I don't mind travelling with family. It can be a good experience if you are lucky. But I rather prefer travelling alone, or with one of my loved ones, but not in much of a group or anything. I enjoy being with myself and I more of a loner. It's a great experience to travel alone and experience things by yourself.
But, I have travelled with my family on one marriage occasion and it was nice. It was great fun.

yes...i think family trip is quite popular now. it actually give chance for the elderly to travel and see new interesting places. i think it is the lest we can do for them since most of us have our own life and family.

I hope you can get a nice trip with your family. If I may suggest something, if your family are living on their own, you can make a small trip to each of your family, each week or months. So this will be a nice family trip too. Beside, it's almost christmas and new years. I think you will have much time to spend more time with your family :)

you don't have to go far to experience family trip, just choose an interesting place close. make collection and it is better to do a survey before making any plans.

I planned to take more trips next year. Life is too stressful if it is all about work. To me, local holidays are the best. They are less tiring.

Yes i understand you...I am trying to save enough money to go on a trip to Pontianak, Indonesia. I'm so stress with work and I really need time to relax. I don't think I can wait until the end; i hope i can travel somewhere near around September...

Yes, I do love to bring my family out for a trip. Once in a while, I bring them out to places I have gone. As you can see, I travel a lot considering that I conduct training programs for safety. Usually when I like the place, I go back and bring my family to enjoy and relax. It is really wonderful when you are able to share great places with your family. It is truly a great experience.

I have never done a trip with all of our extended family like that. We have vacationed with a few family members but it was more like one other family at a time and not everyone. I think it would be very nice to take a vacation with the whole family. It would be nice to see everyone and spend time like that together. That is a special thing you did, treasure it.

I think you should try it too,...we had lots of fun, so I really hope our next trip to Jakarta will be as much fun as we did here in Ranau.

Oh yes!I like it a lot. Some years ago,it is an usual routine for our family and uncle's families to gather and take a van to travel to some nearest tourist spots and spend two or three days of the vacation period. It is nice to be around with our family members in a strange place, having no works to do and just enjoy and celebrate the moment. But now, circumstances have changed and gathering like that is not possible.I long for that.

That is a wonderful place. I haven't been to Mount Kinabalu but had friends who went and told me it was beautiful and nice.
I love family trips but not too big a crowd going for the trip. If it is just a small family of 3 - 5 people then it is okay for me. I don't like going with cousins and uncles and aunties adding up to more than 10 people for the trip.

I just don't like having a family trip I love it, its because we are both busy to provide for the needs of the family so atleast we have sometime unwinding while enjoying each other's company with our precious angel. But We also give time to each other to spend some trip separately with friends. BY that my friends & I can make up with what we miss with the different story of our lives because we are busy with our separate lives.

It is very important to spend quality time with our family...we cannot see them everyday so when we have this kind of trip, we get the chance to bond and catch stories.

I love going on a trip with my family members. We often go on short trips for two days or even a one day trip. It is real fun to spend such quality time with family members like brothers, sisters, parents and other family members.
However, I equally enjoy company with my friends too. I have a set group to go on trips with friends often.

Hi,
I use to love going on family vacations/trips when I was younger but as I got older we didn't go as much. That is honestly one thing I miss about my childhood the most, we always had fun and enjoyed ourselves. It was a nice, relaxing break from everyday life and you got to go somewhere you enjoyed and have a lot of fun.
I have done on some small trips with friends but it gets expensive so I don't do it as often as I'd like too. I did go to Cape Cod Massachusetts in the United States with my best friend this past May for a few days and we had a blast. It was so much fun, even if we lived one state over in Rhode Island, we got to go shopping, relax, go swimming and just enjoy the site seeing.

We have all drited what with opportunities for jobs all over the globe. When the going was good, I used to organise Christmas get togethers of around 30 of us the main feature was the xmas pudding with wishes and lucky mascots stuffed in there. It is now history!

Of course, hanging out with family or with friends are very fun. I love going out and enjoying all the activities with my companions. Family gathering is really cool and in the first place, I am very much comfortable with my family and relatives so I do like going somewhere with them.
