I see the health care plan passed last night. I do have a question about it talking about manditory health care. I have no job and no income, will I have to get health care? Will I be fined if I don't? I thought this plan was supposed to help the uninsured, but what about the unemployed with no money?

It seems that one part of it was passed. The Senate still has to vote on their part of it. It's still unclear exactly what it will entail when it becomes law but the overall aim is to reduce the costs of health care and to limit insurance companies ability to charge higher premiums for pre-existing conditions and based on gender.
Although the requirement appears to be that everyone must have health insurance, there also seems to be provision for the lower income and unemployed: http://edition.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/12/21/health.care.senate.vote/?imw=Y .
In my view (as a Briton who enjoys a National Health Service which we have had since 1947), the US proposals are mealy mouthed and half hearted, as might be expected of a rather more conservative country with enormous pressure from big business involved in the insurance and medical fields.
