Hello dear friends, mylotters, mere bhai/s,and sister/s, Is there any especial menu that is a must to be served at your dining table on New Year's eve? I prepare different food every NEW YEAR...but...CAKE is a must. My kids loves cake so much, that it is a must to be always at the center table during the New Year's celebration. How about you dear friends...is there any especial menu or dish that is always a must in your dining table when celebrating New Year? Waiting for your responses, and Happy Holiday to everyone

Happy new year in advance my dear bonita mia...well, before I specified menu during New year's eve..but now i must get practical. I would eat whatever menu on the table even those the one who prepared it..... Seriously mi bonita, for me specified menu on new year's ever would not be really so important it would just be an optional if you can afford to buy plenty then no problem. If I can't I will just spend wisely what money I have only in my pocket and never lend cash just for the celebration of New Year's eve... Thanks and again Prosperous New Year in advance, to you and your family... Mobhomeir here...

hello dear Martin, Good morning amigo,so early today huh...:) That's a very practical way of thinking and i like that. Yes,i also won't go with credit just to have some luxurious food at my dining table. Whatever i can afford is what i can serve too. Besides, one thing that is why i decided not to go home in my hometown for this New year is to cut some budget costings. It would costs us a lot if we go home, the gasoline rises up so high. So,staying home and welcome this coming 2010 here in our house...with me and my kids will be more practical. Since we can always have our vacation next year of summer which is much advisable due to the long vacation compared for this week long vacation. I wish you all the best of everything on this coming 2010 dear amigo... Happy Holiday dear

hello jaiho! hen i was a kid, we always celebrate our new year in my uncle's house ( he's my mom's only brother) its been a tradition to us to celebrate it with them...and i remember that every year, lechon manok (grilled/roasted chicken) is a must! something that was made by my uncle himself & he usually use native chickens... spaghetti and buco salad is also a must and of course fruits...aside from those, there's still other foods that they are cooking, but those 3 or 4 are always present every year! haha but now, we no longer celebrate new year that way, my husband & i will just be here in cebu and might celebrate it with some of our friends here, my parents is in my grandma's house (father side) and my uncle they will also celebrating it ith their family only... oh i miss those days of celebrating new year!

hello amiga, yes,i know about it....in my younger days too,it is almost same like yours. My family(my parents and siblings)we all gathered at my grandparents house (mother side)and celebrate the coming New year with lot's of food. Chicken and salad...and the native delicacies...esp the suman,i always love it,sapin-sapin,bico and cassave cake. But now,it's so different. Just me and my kids will be celebrating New year(Dec.31) and on January 01,we will be going to my in-laws house to joined them. I am always asked to bring my speciality ...pasta linguine. Happy New Year in advance my dear amiga
